Composer Ren� Merkelbach created a complete new background score for the park.
This is the original expanded promo (with additional tracks 3 and 8 by me), all only available in MP3 320kbs.
It's easy to download, no "please send me a link" stuff...Only thing I ask in return is your opinion about the music and a little thanks :)

You're right, in my opinion... the OST from 2005 to 2017 sounds very good (I own a few of the signed limited edition release of 1000 pieces).
Close friend, composer Maarten Hartveldt did a very good job on that timeline (due to respect, I don't upload his work) It's also available on I tunes.
Ren� Merkelbach created a basic theme (started with the morning symphony for the watershow Aquanura (track 8), and created different versions that blend into the enviorment themed to sections of the park. I also like his work on this score... Ruigrijk is my favorite :) A heroic take on the main theme.

(Mat)Themes it's nice to see you around these parts with more efteling greatness. Ren� Merkelbach is the John Williams of theme park music- the whole thing reminds me of the score to Home Alone meets Jurassic Park.

Thank you VanishingBishop! There is so much Efteling soundtrack stuff floating around. But these are more the bootlegs, recordings and promo's.
I think it's very nice for people overseas, to hear this music. That's the reason why I also share this :)

Yes, there is some influence of Williams there... Marerijk is a track that has a lot of filmscore in there...

Thanks a lot for this share, i love theme park stuff. Having listened a lot to the former area music by Mr. Hartveldt, i think his more "classical" sound fitted the park very well. The new score by Mr. Merkelbach has more "film score" flavour to it, but it�s beautfully orchestrated and will give the areas a new magical "feel". I really appreciate the use of a real orchestra, Efteling with its beautiful landscaping needs natural instruments (the track "promenade" with its sampled sounds was the only one that didn�t fit IMHO when i visited the park about two months ago).

BTW, is there a recording of the pre-show music of Aquanura, that has the dream-like soundscapes and harp and strings playing short fragments of the main show melodies? Would really appreciate that! Thanks again for this share!

OK, have been listening to this A LOT since it was shared here. I'm completely hooked. So how long do we have to wait for Symbolica music to be released? Apparently Merkelbach's Symbolica score was recorded at the same time as these tracks. Hoping for an official release soon.

3 official cues, the other 3 are just the 3 different ride tracks from the youtube channel.

He can say a lot, these tracks are not official. Those are ripped from the official Efteling Youtube channel (ride video) by a themepark fan called MRBeulars.
The official press USB stick contains only 3 MP3's as a music file ;)

There is a new Efteling cd with a ride-through mix of Symbolica. Does anyone have it? Unfortunately not available yet as a digital download. Cheers
