First off, 90% of the credit for this one goes to Iron Ian. All of the tracks here originally come from his Descent Complete Music Collection. What's the point of this, then? Well, there is one small complaint I have with the music in Iron Ian's release: there's way too much of it! It's not just that there are several variations of each track, but the exact same track is often duplicated from multiple sources. This soundtrack is largely just a compilation of the most complete (read: longest) versions of each track.

Besides that, I made a few changes to the tracks themselves. I got rid of the jerky editing in the Descent 1 MacPlay tracks, and re-edited/remastered most of the Descent 2 tracks to have a dynamic range closer to the original PC release. The MIDI tracks were recorded by Brandon Blume on a real SC-55 (with the exception of Vampyro, which was made with a soundfont). Blume intended for these tracks to loop, and so they cut off abruptly rather than having tails. To remedy this, I rendered each track with an SC-55 soundfont, and spliced the tails into Blume's recordings. Then I looped and faded the tracks that didn't have proper endings.
