Slightly unrelated, but have you listened to Kei Wakakusa's work on "ザ・ハングマン"? It's some Japanese drama TV show from the 80s...there's a complete CD music collection but it's pretty pricey unfortunately.
I got the LP versions, though. It's freaking sweet!!
