Music is EA's propriety format. Decoded with ealayer3, so no information loss.

Total tracks: 821

I made my own extraction tool to dump those chunks and segment information, then use ealayer3 to convert them. I was in the zenhax thread too.

Does anyone know if it will be possible to get lossless later on down the line, or do the game files juts not contain any lossless music? Thanks for this, pretty cool to finally see this get ripped after a few weeks!

I'm gonna decipher these babies out, will try to get a tracklist as accurate as possible. Will take a long while.

Most games store its music in lossy format, often in ogg. EA's format is a variation of MP3. Only those old games use wav. So it's not possible to get lossless version.

Also, listen to mus_433_heroiccombat_allloops_1
It's near the end of the game, and it's pretty cool. For me anyways.

I was wondering if I can help you go through the 800+ files somehow?
My guess is that grouping the songs into the individual planets first and then split them into major groups like combat, exploration, ambient?

Yeah help is appreciated, work is on the way.

The issue really is the action tracks, to know where they are and so. The short tracks are not that important.

Good thing is that the loyalty missions are named here, just have to order them

I'm looking forward to seeing what you and Akkubohrer can work out from the tracks.
I enjoy the ambience tracks from the exploration in the game, and it would be neat to have it all systemized so that we can separate the differents tracks from the different planets in the game, like "Eos-Suspense", "Exploring Voeld1"(the icy planet), "Hyperion Ambient" etc..

Good day, starlords!

Just a quick update on what my sorting process has resulted in so far, and to get you guys to give me insight as to how others deal with those hundreds of files:
Since I have not finished the game yet I found it particularly hard to precisely pinpoint a certain track/loop to a set location/moment in the game. The files' names do not resemble this either. Those who do are rather small in number. Here are some examples:

mus_090_meridian_moods_0
mus_091_explo1_moods_0
mus_137_intrepidexplo_sysamb_ovl_3

This is a mess. There is barely any indication to even what planet the loops belong to. Meridian is literally the only one written. I wanted to focus on the exploration/ambient tracks, as I don't particularly enjoy the combat tracks. Those seem in fact to be just a random set of overlaying loops.

The cinematic tracks required less effort so far, each file name gives a clear sense of which cutscene/action it represents:

mus_449_cine_intl_252_nexus_land
mus_454_cine_behemoth reveal

There seems to be a great number of loyalty mission related tracks following this rule.

Another thing that did not surprise me but saddens me, is the average track lenght. Since those tracks are looped and consist of overlaying tracks as well this is not something unusual. But I guess there is nothing we can do about this.

Considering that even OrangeC was astounded that wynick managed to rip these tracks should be a sign that this game is difficult to decypher and EA has treated the score more as background noise rather than something that compliments the game, and therefore should be given a more respectabel treatment, but that's where we at.

One option would be to mail/tweet the composer, John Paesano, and ask him if it was a possibility to release the whole thing. Maybe we'll get it, maybe not.

Like I implied in my first post, I understand that this score is a tough nut to crack and I commend you for at least trying.

Not having a better time figuring them out than anyone else but I'll give it a shot

I don't mean to sound like a know-it-all (because frankly a lot of this is best guess from 5 playthroughs) but to the fellow who said the combat was just a bunch of small random loops, those are near as I can tell stingers, I've noticed them playing on top of allloops types during Combat Intro, Combo Detonator, Kill (particularly headshots), and Combat Outro.

With that said I believe...
AllLoops are the actual combat tracks
Tension is low combat & without a doubt for nearby threats that haven't noticed you yet (such as Fiends and Remnant )
SysPulse Architect battles? Command Center assault moods? I'm not sure

GPS1 - Elaaden (combat track is not in the files, I recorded one in-game that is actually slightly more intense than syspulsehi, same length though, this combat track is also on the last part of the Leusinia so we can't really group these to specific places, the beginning of the game alone uses 3 different groups at least I think)

GPS2 - Voeld
mus_152_mc4_18 - Kett Facility ambient I think

GPS3 - Habitat 7 & Kadara
up00062_103_mc8_tension_01&02 Habitat 7, Khi Tasira, Meridian Combat & Vault Purge
mus_035_action3_loop Habitat 7 First Contact and several other places in the game including Kett Facility and Verakan I think

mus_265_action3_caveaerialview - Kadara Murder Investigation (Meeting Farah)
mus_205_gps4_syspulsehi - Habitat 7 Tower Assault Combat & PB Loyalty
mus_205_mc8_tension - Habitat 7 Tower Assault Tension

GPS6 - Eos & Havarl
mus_339_intrepidexplo_tempestchecksout Landing on Eos I think
mus_014_action5_loop - Eos Vault 2nd Gravity Well Combat (first time seeing a turret)

Intrepidexplo - H-047c & Eos Vault, recorded a combat track I didn't find while in Eos Vault and also heard it on H-047c 5:35

GPS7 - Khi Tasira

GPS8 - Elaaden, Kadara & Voeld (not Eos & Havarl though) Vaults (missing combat track again 6:16, doesn't have drums, recorded in Voeld's Vault while fighting a destroyer) also GPS8 Med Loop I've only heard while heading to Meridian Control

mus_433_heroiccombat_allloops_0 - Meridian Combat (during Ryder's We're Fighting for Home speech)

mus_489_gpsm7_tensiona_0 - Meridian Control (not sure if this actually the combat as tension usually is near by threat or possibly low threat that I've seen)

M3ShipArrival (First time on Aya)

mus_228_action1_allloops_ - Intruders on Hyperion
(speaking of Hyperion it seems like nearly everything for the intro of the game is missing)

mus_091_explo1_moods_ - The Tempest?
mus_204_m7_moods_0 - Meridian I would guess but I'm almost sure I've heard these on the Tempest especially when looking at menus such as the map.

mus_205_mc4_ambient_ - The Verakan & The Leusinia
mus_206_mc4_1 - Verakan Combat (I've also heard Voeld's tracks on The Verakan)

Galaxy map seems to be missing, recorded 2 variations at 5:35 each

GPS9 I haven't had any luck figuring this out anyone know?

Well that's my 2 cents and again I don't claim I'm 100% positive on them but that has been the best matches I've found, good luck to everyone trying to figure them out

Edit- Ok I got it wrong but GPS7 (combat at least, about gave up on figuring out ambient) is on The Verakan in the Archon's Quarters while mc4 is Khi Tasira's control room. Additionally on The Verakan the order of combat tracks at least for me was Habitat 7 First Contact (first battle on the Verakan), Voeld (Gun Battery combat), & Eos (Labs combat).

Also all of Khi Tasira's exterior uses GPS1 while inside the towers is Habitat 7's normal combat themes.

Edit2 - Found some of GPS9 mus_334_gps9_combat_06&07 are in Drack's Loyalty mission during one of the early cutscenes, unfortunately I didn't notice any other gps9, seemed like it was all from Eos up until the final bits. Mus_228_action1_allloops_0 is heard during the final bits of this as well and I don't think I have heard that version on the Hyperion part which means I need to pay more attention because I assumed they were random tracks from a small group like how Alan Wake was but not so sure now.

I found another missing combat track, the final battle of all things seems to be missing which is a variant of gpsm7 and looks about 8 min long. I also forgot to mention last that I think the scene before fighting Archon's Sword is missing as well. BTW while I know where mus_509_cine_space_battle is used by it's name but is it the one we hear when the shuttle on Habitat 7 explodes too if not I can't find that either.

Hi everyone!

So, I was listening to a playlist on YouTube with some unheard tracks from the game score which (obviously) led me to here. Now, there is one track in particular that caught my attention and mesmerized me beyond belief and that track is called Romance Ambient (Mass Effect: Andromeda OST) in the YouTube playlist. However, I cannot seem to find anything matching the length of that particular song, not to even mention the title matching. So, if anyone here, perhaps someone with more in depth knowledge on this topic, would be so kind as to assist with any potential useful information, I would be forever grateful and not only that, but I would be willing to offer my services (free of charge) for a Mass Effect art commission.

Kind thanks in advance! Any many many thanks to the genius who took the time to put all this together!
