Has anybody else watched this yet? I watched a midnight showing, and was very pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It blows the shitty popcorn Avengers series out of the water. Excellent performances by Jackman, Stewart and the young girl, and a strong music score by Marco Beltrami. There's a real brutality and sense of urgency throughout the film that is simply missing from almost every other superhero movie, especially the recent appalling Marvel and DC output.

7 out of 10.

I saw it today, loved it!
The story is nothing special but the way the characters interact is great and the performances are extremely good, especially Dafne Keen who's super scary! :)
The movie is very violent and realistic in a way, and the characters seem more human than ever, and unlike the other ones there is a real sense of danger.
If Jackman really stops playing Wolverine, which I'm kinda hoping he won't, then he can be proud of his final appearance as the character.

Brief thoughts:

Solid 7 or 8 out of 10. Not original but it earns the score due to Jackman's wonderful portrayal and understanding of the character.

Viewers wondering why Logan is so self-loathing receive their answer when a family takes him, Laura, and Charles in for the night, and are killed when Logan's enemies storm the house. Speaking of which, those hoping for a truly well-written and intriguing foe will be bummed out, as the main baddie turns out to be a clone of Wolverine - faster, younger, but not stronger. Not the most engrossing idea, but he's still still formidable.
The non-mutant baddies are utterly despicable, and watching their heads get blown off one by one doesn't leave the viewers with any reservations.

Beltrami's score works well; listeners will notice faint hints of his 2013 score for the last Wolvie film. As far as I could tell that was the only the theme in the film.

Nitpick: how in the world did X-23 get the collapsed Logan off the road and into the car all by herself? How did she start the car? Did she force that woman with the dog to give her help and keys? There's a reason they don't show it and it's because it's borderline inexplicable. Not a big deal but still a head-scratcher.

Overall the film is a fine way to say goodbye to no doubt the most iconic interpretation of Wolverine. After spending so much of his life in pain and misery, it's a bit rewarding to see him find peace in his last moments, acknowledging the bond he's made with his young daughter despite all odds. Logan earns his well-deserved rest at long last on account of one last selfless act of preserving the future of mutantkind, and in his final breath imparts powerful advice to X-23 on how to live the better life. Jackman retires the character with dignity and gravitas.
