Ok I asked Omeaga Weapon if the ending to this game was hard because I usually get a little worried at the end of FF games. Now please don't put spoilers in this thread because I have not yet got to the end. But I was just wondering what level my characters should be on. And what items to use. One more question. I'm at the end of disk 2 right now and I am about to face Seifer. My Squall is on level 35 or 36 and has 108 strength. I junctioned ultima. From my experience with other final fantay games I think this would be good. Is it?

with ff8 it really doesnt wut lvl you are,all that matters is how you junction your characters.when i first beated the game all my main people(squall,rinoa,zell)were all in their 70's, but then they had ultima,flare,and meteor junctioned to their stats which maxed out squalls and zells str and rinoas magic. i didnt learn about customizing weapons till the second time i was beating ff8(it the the first FF i played and i wasnt really "smart"as some would say)so i was using everyones basic weapons.i think i just made it sound very simple,but it was still a challenging fight.

The final fight increases in difficulty proportionally to your level in my opinion...

well yea...the game was made so that everything you fight is the average lvl of your 3 main people.

I guess that is a good idea for the game but not for the bosses. I guess I shouldn't worry about it too much.

no you shouldnt...in my opinion the final boss is the easiest final fantasy boss ever!!!EVER!!!!!

TGWY, it depends on how high your levels are. When I fought the final boss, i was only at level 3 with the first three characters that got selected, and I got through to the final bit of it, with only one dying (this is w/o holy war or hero btw)

wen i woz at da last boss it woz really easy, maybe because all my characters were at level 100, however there iz a lot of work and thinking to be done in order to beat the last boss comfortably, n afta u beat it...........WOW!!

The last boss is fairly easy. When i got up to the final boss i didn't know he was the last one. I had all my worst characters and junctions and he was still fairly easy.

The ending of that FF was not actually that good compared to others. FF7 ending is fair better LEONHART

i read somewhere else that your characters for the final fight are randomly picked, so does that mean if your low level characters are picked, will ultimecia be really easy?

Well, she'll be around the same level as them, so she'll be at least that easy. Of course, a favored strategy of a lot of people is simply to soup up a party and then if she selects characters you don't want, simply kill them in the first battle. She'll simply whoosh them out of the battle and replace them with one she didn't pick and you can just keep doing this until you get your desired party.

After you kill them and she whooshes them away, will she still be on the low level from your weak characters?

No, I did that when I fought her and her level will be at what the current party is.

Anothing ending question I have is: How many times did it take you to beat the ending?

Hmm.. I think around three, but the first couple I wasn't actually trying, I was just looking at ther to see what I needed, the ending pissed me off pretty badly, not too fun when you spend hours upon hours on a game and the game screws up and you can't read anything said! >:O

enemy's level is usually based on squall's level (not an average).
there isnt a drastic difference between levels. if you take on ultimecia's final form at level 100, your only looking at 300 more HP than if you were level 99. not a terrible amount to deal with at such a level.

I have officially beaten the game! On to FF9.
