How To Unlock Nemesis

Nemesis is the possibly the hardest monster in the entire game. To acquire the challenge to take on this foe you must:

1. Capture 10 (ten) of every monster in all areas.
2. Defeat every normal monster in every area in the arena.
3. Defeat all of the created monsters in Species/Area Conquest and Original.

After accomplishing these tasks the arena owner creates Nemesis. Be prepared this son of a gun is hard.

So thats for the people that didnt know

He is easy! Just summon right before he attacks you. Quick hit is the key to victory. Don't use overdrives with your characters because he will counter it.

Well everyone here is good at FFX. If you beat nemesis you must be good too. JAll you really need is 255 strength. And I'm very sorry about that but I can't answer your question. I have the stupid American version. Oh can someone tell me how much harder the expert sphere grid is? The standard could not get any easier for me.

You see, the power of the Expert Grid is that you have more control over the way your characters grow, because the sections of the Sphere Grid are not divided so neatly as in the Standard Grid. They overlap, criss-cross, all sorts of weird things so you can really customize your characters.

You don't need to defeat every normal monster in the arena, just the creations.

Quick Hit is three times slower in the PAL/International versions so unless you have really strong Aeons, you will run out of Aeons and you will be a sitting duck unless you cast Auto-Life.

I prefer the Standard Grid to the Expert Grid since it has more nodes.

Could some one tell me what he looks like? My game is scratched so when I try to fight him, it freezes.

Quick Hit is slower in the PAL/International versions. Both versions are in English, or have the option for English text.

Nemesis is like a blue and gold version of Ultima Weapon.

Narcoleptic Lab-rat > The Green Ranger

I tried to fight Nemesis on my friends game but I forgot to bring my memory card so I couldn't use my maxed stats.

Yeah, beating Nemesis is pretty easy once you get a good strategy going. The easiest way is to cast Hastega on your entire party, and then constantly use Quick Hit each turn until the last Quick Hit you do would give Nemesis the chance to attack. Then swap to Yuna, have her summon an aeon, have that aeon attack (ODs might be able to do more damage, however, it takes quite a while for the aeon to recover from it, and if it dies, your party recieves the recovering delay) or Shield. Then dismiss if the aeon doesn't die, and repeat. Pretty easy, although it still takes a while cause Nemesis has so much HP. Just make sure your main 3 characters have 255 Strength, BDL weapons, 200+ Agility, Quick Hit, and a good amout of MP. It's also wise to have Yuna NOT be on of those 3 characters (so you can swap in for her on the last turn) and that she has 255 Agility.
