In this coming-of-age drama from 1992, a young girl attempts to learn about love by closely observing the teenager next door who has a crush on a rebellious young man. For this understated film, David Newman composed a modest score: atmospheric, melancholy. A soundtrack for the film was released in Australia, but it included only 13 pop vocals. On this disc are 16 score tracks without titles. A tracklist appears on a fansite devoted to David Newman, but it is most likely someone's guesstimate, since the main character's name (Sheryl) is misspelled as "Cherly." I've listed those track titles in the 2nd spoiler for those who like having them, but cannot guarantee they are accurate. I also corrected "Cherly" to "Sheryl."

This same fansite shows an 18-track version of the score, but it is the same version as I have here: 2 tracks in this version have simply been split to make 4 in the 18-track version. I have listened to both versions and they are the same music, except in this 16-track version the volume level is much higher.
