This is hands-down the best soundtrack Iwasaki has made since Gatchaman Crowds. It's no Kenshin or Katanagatari, but it shows any naysayers that he has yet to lose any of his skills when it comes to more traditional orchestral music.

Iwasaki always mades music that fits perfectly to the show. I just can't stop listening to Kante track. This is something different and deep (In one moment I hear vocals voice that I am sure was in Gettouka from Katanagatari).
Many says that he is doing repetitive tracks but in every osts I always find something new...

Has anyone really been saying that? I mean the only score he didn't have any orchestral music in was the first season of Noragami. And even then when the second season came around he brought back his usual group and did a fantastic job. I always thought it was the consensus that Taku is one of the best traditional folks in the composing the business right now but I guess not? o_O.

Yes, it seems a lot of people here want Iwasaki to drop all his experiments and Remote Control-style haminess and make something like an actual, thematically rich score. Just look at the Big Orchestral Action thread. There has been a lot of talk the past few years about how "the REAL Iwasaki is dead" thanks to his focus more on mixing weird genres instead of something more traditional, which is totally silly, but with this the man shows he hasn't lost a single shred of his past skill and has gotten even better in a lot of ways. No one questions his orchestral abilities, but instead why he doesn't use them as often as someone of his caliber ought to.

Many says that he is doing repetitive tracks but in every osts I always find something new... Now this, I don't think I've heard anyone say. Mahouka and Magic Kaito sounded like Gatchaman Crowds leftovers but for the most part Iwasaki is still making super diverse soundtracks and giving each of his shows a different flavor. Even if Qualidea Code wasn't good in the traditional sense it still has its own style and stands out from other Iwasaki works. In fact I don't think anyone ever really complained about Iwasaki repeating anything other than his penchant for weird experiments and sounds rather than traditional scoring.

Seems rather strange, Mr. Taku is quite a renowned composer...
