I finished disc 3, and when i insert my disc 4 into the ps2, it says
"caution: wrong disc" the disc is perfect, since i purchased the game brand new not too long ago......maybe its a ps2 incompatibility thing?

My advice would be to take it out, clean it make sure it's absolutely clear, re-insert it until it works, and keep trying that. On my Final Fantasy IX disc I tried it and had the same problem, no scratches or anything, just a bit of dust from running it, I'd say try that, and if that doesn't work then I don't know what to tell you. But no, it's not incompatible with the PS2.

I've found standing the PS2 up vertically helps it read faulty PSone discs of mine, you may want to give that a shot.

That means you haven't used it enough to fuck up your PS2's CD drive. I have mine on for long periods of time. So far my PS2 is alright.

At first I had a few problems playing my psone FF's on my PS2. At first I thougt there may have been something wrong with the disks but they looked perfectly fine, so I bought a lense cleaner disk for my PS2 and after that they worked fine.

on the menu when you first turn on your ps2 without a disc in it press the button to enter version it should come up with a menu that has all the aspects of your ps2 on it and just turn self diagnosis on and it should work fine after that cos it always happens to me with all my ps1 games and my new ps2 games

I heard of a mate that works in a game store that using it vertically can really mess up the console. So i wouldnt do it to much

It doesnt as you can buy stands to store it vertically.

Hmmm It might be that your PS2 is at the end of it's life cycle....My PS2 has been messing up on almost everything.....Mine is like a grumpy old man, things have to be done in a certain order. It gets turned on, has a dis read error, I turn it off for 15 seconds, hold down the reset button untill the game comes up....maybe it's just my head making me think it, but that works....

Also, if it's just PSone games messing up....just buy a PSone....They are what 90 bucks? That's really not to bad....

oh and, that Laser Xleaner Disk....how much do those things cost?

No I think thier is a longativity peiod on the ps2 for some reason. Once it passes it then you need to get a new one.

For some reason it seems so in england at least
