Conductor Leopold Stokowski made recordings for various labels during his long career but his association with RCA Victor spanned a whopping 57 years, from 1917 thru 1974. In 1954 RCA released a 45 EP (ERA-0119) featuring 4 Christmas themed Classical pieces entitled “Seasons Greetings from Leopold Stokowski”. That album is the basis for this download, which I have expanded to include additional Holiday themed Classical works & transcriptions Stokowski recorded between 1953 & 1965, including some recorded live. The original album was DSD archived from a 45 EP in great condition and the other selections were also DSD archived from various LP and tape sources. This unique compilation was a lot of fun to put together and I think you will find these fantastic performances will brighten your Holiday Season. Seasons Greetings to all!
