The Theory ('bout 1/2 way down the page, IIRC) (http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/file/final_fantasy_viii_time_ultimecia.txt)

Just wondering what you guys' thoughts are on this.
Me, I think it could be possible, if you accept certain things, such as Sorceresses having a "semi-immortality", as long as they have their powers.

After all, given that Rinoa isn't the strongest of people mentally, when she's cut off from the others, and I think it'd be possible, after Squall and the others' deaths, that she'd come up with Time Compression as a way of being with them again, or bringing them back. Also, if Squall died as a result of being in SeeD (in a mission for example) she'd probably be pissed at the institution.

I don't know. The more I think about it, the more possible it seems.

Any ideas?

Can we all just accept that Rinoa sucked? Can we not accept Aeris sucked? Why do people gravitate towards shitty characters and games?

no, that's not what happens, but, 8 is stuck in a time loop.i mean, think about it. at the end, (SPOLERS!!!!!!) ultimecia gives her powers to edea, edea becomes a sorceress, and then it all starts all over again. and, the reason seed can sontrol ultimecia in the future is because squall and everbody fought her in time compression. that's how i see it, but time is tricky, so....

I will give that if there's one thing that gives any additional weight to this theory, it's the fact that Squall... er "Leon" is alone in Kingdom Hearts, rather than with Rinoa.

And as for the theory, I actually believe it. I was reading up on it the other day, and it seems pretty plausible. I've always just dismissed it as some farfetched argument.

I have mixed feelings on it, overall I'd have to say no. I would have believed in it except for
Of course, it may just be coincidence, or perhaps Square was referring to the spell ultima(arutima) Because they must be referring to that, being it's the same root. I think it's plausible, just not true.
