I'm a bit confused. I thought Guin Saga was a series of books? Why are there soundtracks?

These are image albums based on the novels. All of them are composed by Goro Ohmi and were all surpervised by the author of the novels Kaoru Kurimoto herself. The first 5 albums from the 80s are part of Nippon Columbia's Roman Trip series which are basically image albums made for novels. The other 7 which are from the 90s don't have the Roman Trip title on them so they are simply image albums.
