i've played through 1, 7, and 10. i recently acquired 5,6,8,and 9. so my question to you guys is, which one to play next? i'm leaning towards 8 or 9. maybe even 6.

Anyway, I would pick FF 6. Its a classic, and considered the best game in the series. ( a close tie with FF7.) The graphics of the game are a little annoying at first, but the story and characters make up for it.

Play Final Fantasy IX, it is the best of the series IMO, it's alot more fun than VIII, definitely don't play VIII next, go for VI or IX.

Go for VIII... More of a challenge than IX, which isn't all that good. VIII's the best in the series, after X,

The world and characters is simply amazing, I would defenitely recommend FFIX before FFVIII, the first 20 hours of which is snooze-worthy. (20 hours for me)

I think chronoboy meant that you should play FFVI first cause it's the most fun and rewarding out of the ones mentioned.
