Note: I haven't seen this shared around here yet so here ya'll go. Mega has been removing several of my files for copyright infringement and I have a feeling that this will make account #2 that will be deleted so here's a fair warning that this link may not last very long so grab while you can! Can't stress that enough as I MAY NOT be able to re-upload if it goes down. If my current Mega account gets terminated then I won't be sharing anymore. It's too much hassle re-uploading thousands of files repeatedly.

This was ripped from my own personal CD but whether the source was legitimately lossless is unknown to me. There aren't many places you can find this so I would hope the source is truely lossless.

I do need some help creating a good cover as I am unable to find any online. The one that came with the CD isn't in very good quality otherwise I would've scanned that and used it. Thanks to any interested folk who may wanna help with this task.

I was impressed with this score because it's a departure from the typical Manfredini style. Sure, there's old school Manfredini in here but you won't hear the style you've heard in everything from the Friday the 13th movies to Swamp Thing to House/House II to Wishmaster to The Omega Code to Timemaster, etc. Dead and Gone fits in the league of DeepStar Six and A Gun, A Car and a Blonde in that it's unique and doesn't fit into Manfredini's regular horror output. I could endure repeat listenings of this versus a lot of the titles I mentioned above. It's restrained and even has a little bit of a country twang to it that I rather enjoy. The album is bookended by 2 versions of writer/singer Harry Shannon's "40 Years of Pain" and unlike a lot of songs written for films, I didn't mind either version so much. I dig the old school southern rock vibe so I decided to keep them for this post.

I've been trying to acquire this score for years but the only way is through Harry Manfredini's site and with shipping, it costs over $30 which for 44 minutes of score is a little absurd. Manfredini's albums are becoming increasingly more rare but here's my advice: wait until he comes to a convention in your town. He sells albums of his work for only $15. DeepStar Six is one that is super rare so if you don't wanna shell out the absurd amount that an original retail copy of the CD goes for, you can buy it from his table for only $15. Don't expect professional cover art but ya gotta sacrifice something. The music is what counts and to me, DSS is worth it. It's easily one of my favorite Manfredini scores.

Without further adieu, enjoy!

Thanks for this. Don't suppose you know the extent of Harry Shannon's involvement?

You're most welcome. According to IMDB, he wrote the script and performed those two songs but that's the extent.
