This is a short series, but i think it is one of the best animes, do any agree?

A short series? Are you kidding? It's longer than most. But yes, I do like Rurouni Kenshin. Although, I must say that I like Samurai X a little more.

OMG! do i 'like' ruruoni kenshin??? of course not- I LOVE IT!!!! aaaahhhh!!! kenshin is so hot and the storyline was very interesting. love the oavs too, though i dont like tomoe (sorry to her fans). i wave my flag for kaoru. ^^

Anyway, the manga is better. A lot of its charm was completely abandoned in the anime, particularly Kenshin's smartass attitude, which didn't really start showing until the second season. And then on top of that, season 3 was a total train wreck.

yup im with u! i think its a great series^^i especially like the samuraiX reflections movie because its between kaoru and kenshin, i luv that couple they're soo cute!!

Kenshin is definitely not a short series. And yes, I love Kenshin. But I also prefer the manga over the anime, even though I like both. :swoon:

The series is only like 84 espiodes long. It WOULD have been longer if those animator followed the story completely, instead of making up their own stories which didn't run-in well with the series.

I think it has a 98 episodes. But anyway, sometimes too many episodes can ruin a story. I think, it is just perfect this way. Not short, but not too long either. ;)

Kenshin is a great length, but as for manga over Anime, I don't really know yet, I ordered th first 4 off of Ebay, but only issue 4 has arrived and I want to read them in order

Actually, I think it was 96. And it was most definitely too long, considering how awful the third season was.

Im not a big fan on that stuff..I dont like that Ronin....He was a coward, he was way to soft in the show...I love Samurai history and that would be one of the reasons that didnt turn me off the show right away, oh, and as for the Samurai X you guys are talking about...if they left their group and did not have a master and worked for who ever would pay, they were Ronin's, and if they no longer truly served their emperpor, they were Out Casts...If they were in a caste system...They would all be under warriors, but Samurai would come first, then a Ronin, then A outcast..

I think the term "short" isn't right from what I know it's the longest series more longer than trigun.

Trigun is a standard 26 episode series. It's not exactly long for an anime series.

Kenshin was a good anime, I liked it..but the Samurai X movies were better

I think i prefer kenshin more bcos it was more realistic and more extreme in terms of action or fighting

Ya mean kenshin is 96 episodes long. Well that is short compared to what I am used to watching 300 episode shows, not anime of course.

Ruroni kenshin is one of my fav. Anime/manga I love when he acts like an idiot when hes not fighting like when he says "ORO!"

The manga pwns the anime by far. I think the OAVs were pretty intense and actually had realistically choregraphed fight scenes imo.

Yeah actually the RK series is 95, and then you have the Movie, that's in between the seasons -> sorry I forgot which one, then afterwards you have the 3 OVAs.

I think for me it was long, because this was the LONGEST series I've ever watched, not to mention it, my friend has the entire series, except episode 95, in which she didn't have at the time.

She thinks that there is NO episode 95 and I told her there is, because I did a research of it.

I really and truly loved this series, even though it was very sad towards the end, I treasure RK forever

i prefer the OVA, tsuiokuhen and seisohen, those are such a magnificent rurouni kenshin!

I remember Rurouni Kenshin. The anime was pretty good, but for the most part, the manga was better. It's one of my favorites.

Rurouni Kenshin. One of my favourite Anime series and Manga as well. How I would LOVE if they made a spinoff with Hiko Seijuro XIII as the main character. About his past, about his training, his fights. He's IMO the coolest dude in the Rurouni Kenshin universe. Not to mention the most powerful.

That can be pretty much true. Hiko can get on Kenshin's nerves by bringing up embarassing moments, lol.. =)

That would be pretty cool though, an indepth look at Hiko's life before RK. I second that motion if it was possible.

i like kenshin but samurai x was a bit too serous for me but it had good action but i perfer the 95 epsoide one

Rurouni Kenshin is my favorite anime. Although I still have yet to see Season 3, I enjoyed the Tokyo and Kyoto Arcs greatly.

I liked Rurouni Kenshin untill Kenshin ended up in a wheelchair after stealing that cake. After that moment the series went downhill .

One thing I find amazing is that some bits can rivet you and you wouldn't even know it. I remember when Kenshin and Saitou clashed in ep. 30. I can still feel chills from that battle.

whats the difference between Rurouni Kenshin and Samurao X? i watched the 95/96 episode one. plus the 6 ova's. i heard there was a movie also.

The manga is better. The anime has parts that i found... boring. The thing about the Knight or sumething like that was not like the rest of the anime. Maybe the issue of Shugo and the christians was a little more entertaining.
