Thanks for this great share. This is super Johann Strauss! The only competition is the 1950s Decca recordings with the Vienna Philharmonic and the DG late 50s recording with Fricsay and the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. Thanks again...

Finally was able to listen to this and the Karajan version. I at first likes the Karajan version (More familar version) but found as I listen to this version I found that I liked the better. Wonderful post. BTW I neglected to state which versions and was wondering if I could get the Surround Sound version in addition.

This has been re-upped AND REMASTERED and is available for download again.

When I first uploaded this last year, it was at 96 kHz for the SACD layer. Since then, I have learned that it is better to rip SACDs at 88.2 kHz, because that way the waveform is proportional to the original DSD signal, which results in smoother sound at the higher frequencies. I don't know if it will make an audible difference to anyone, but especially considering that it also makes for slightly smaller .flac files, I figured it would be a good move to make, regardless.

Also, I discovered a couple of minor errors in how I had done the standard CD Audio layer, so that is newly re-done from scratch as well.
