Hey guys,

Here's the new songs from FFXIV patch 3.4 titled Soul Surrender. There are 11 new songs in total. One of them I left in ogg format because it imported into Audacity as 4 mono tracks and sounded like garbage so I left it alone. Everything else has been converted to MP3 and looped a minimum of two times. It's currently untagged but I imagine people who play the game will be able to shed some light on where the songs play. I have an idea on a lot of them, but I'm kinda heading out the door to work as I post this so I won't get to play the game until later tonight.

Thank you for uploading this so quickly. :)

In regards to track names, several are actually on the Orchestrion in the game, and thus their track titles are revealed - for instance, the main vocal theme for the new Sophia the Goddess trial battle I believe is called Equilibrium, and the BGM for the new Xephlatol dungeon (a remix of Nobuo Uematsu's Flightless Wings - the Natalan/Ixal theme), is called Grounded. Most of the other tracks I think are part of the new Alexander the Creator raid though, but I'm not sure what their track titles are.

Anyway, thank you for uploading this (and yes, Equilibrium is awesome :D).

Much appreciated. I like the new dungeon boss music even if it's just another OP remix.

I've been able to identify every song except for two. One sounds like some weird Addams Family song, the other sounds like a trance remix of the world battle theme for Heavensward. I haven't heard either in game yet so could be they're for future content. I haven't done the Scholasticate quests yet so not sure if either are associated with that.

The trance remix is played in PvP duels, but i haven't found out where the Addams family-esque song plays yet. Possibly a new song for the Halloween event? Hopefully that helps! :)

Cool, thanks for the update on the PvP song. And yeah, there's a high probability it's for a Halloween event.

Any way to game rip these in FLAC?

not from the game's files. i believe you'd have to wait until someone rips the next blu-ray soundtrack whenever they put that out.

Here's some better track info for all of these:

~113dfaaf

This is Equilibrium, and is the theme for the new primal: Sophia, the Goddess.

~b465b9b6

This is Exponential Entropy, which is the unique music for the second last boss fight in the most recent raid tier (Alexander Part 3: The Creator). He's a giant anime robot and his fight will be known in the future for driving raiders utterly batty if they listen to this song on repeat while trying to clear. forward and back and forward and back and forward and back

~382ef3f9
~89059006

As far as I know this doesn't have an official name yet. These seem to be identical, and are the first phase of the last fight in the most recent raid tier against Alexander Prime. As an aside, this song is an orchestral remix of two previous boss tracks in Alexander, Locus and Metal, which are both on the base Heavensward OST.

~b5507d7

A to the L to the E-X-ANDER
Gobbies gonna rise over the Uplander

Uh, I mean, this is Rise, the second phase of the Alexander Prime fight. If you're curious what the lyrics are, I can give you the gist: It's goblins, trash talking you, start to finish.

~36352e67

This seems to be one of the layers of Exponential Equilibrium.

~72d2b2df

This is the dungeon music for The Great Gubal Library (Hard), a recently added dungeon. It remixes Ink Long Dry from the original Heavensward OST. No official name.

~d012f928

This is the dungeon music for Xelphatol, which as Enkidoh points out is officially called Grounded.

~99ac28f6

This is newly added boss music for the two new 4-man dungeons. No official name yet.

~f4679fb3

This is the battle track for the new 1v1 PvP duel system, and remixes Melt, the standard battle track from the Heavensward OST.

~5b7049c5

As far as I know this isn't in the game yet and I am 99.9% certain it's going to be for the next Halloween event.

~36352e67 is used in A12/Soul of the Creator, when the vortex orbs appear. There's only four orbs, and usually a DPS takes each one, so the tanks and healers don't usually get to hear this theme at all. When you enter an orb, you are sent to the Heart of the Creator in the past, during the pre-A12 cutscene, and that's where ~36352e67 plays.

I thought ~5b7049c5 might be a Halloween theme, but seeing as previous events have used the 1.0 Halloween theme, I could see it being something else. The composition reminds of the Palace of the Dead theme, so it could very well be the equivalent for floors 51-200.

There's also the "Temporal Stasis" theme from A12, which would appear to be a muffled version of either the third or fourth mono track embedded in ~b5507d7. It only plays for 10 seconds at a time, whenever Alexander Prime uses Temporal Stasis in phase 2. I'm not quite sure whether mono track 3 or 4 is the one. Both being played together sounds awfully distorted...and neither of them are naturally as muffled as the Temporal Stasis theme sounds...any ideas?

EDIT: I chose either the third or fourth track, I don't remember which and applied the Low Pass Filter in Audacity twice, then trimmed it down to the first ten seconds. That seemed to get an accurate reproduction of what I was looking for.

Just a clarification: This does indeed play during the All Saint's Wake/Halloween event. It's called "Up Till Dawn" and it plays in the haunted house instance.

Thanks to the announcement of Duality, the new arranged album that releases in December, we now know the official name for the boss theme listed as ~99ac28f6: it's called Revenge Twofold.

For the XIV players who enjoy trivia this theme apparently was going to be for Nidhogg's fight before Soken composed the two pieces that would end up covering the two final phases of his fight; this is why it has a lot of thematic similarities to Revenge of the Horde from 3.3. Seeing as they had a perfectly good battle track now going unused, they stuck it in as the boss fight for the new dungeons and called it good.
