I was expecting an exciting disaster movie / tense thriller score (think Klaus Badelt's POSEIDON) and this unfortunately is none of those things. It barely even qualifies as film music, it's more in the realm of sound design. Up until track 11 the album is a complete borefest and at times downright unlistenable. It tries to redeem itself in the last few tracks, but it's too little too late at that point. I'm sure it works fine in the movie, but as a stand-alone album - meh.

I saw this earlier today and loved it. The score was great and if the OST reflects what's in the film, I don't know how so many people are calling it "sound design". Too much drugs, probably.

Finally getting around to listening to it this evening, now that I've seen it.

I fell in love, when listen in first time - I've listened to about 10 five times, and now it's my one of favorite work of year. I want to go to the movie, but I think I'll wait for bluray.
