Has anyone heard this ENTIRE cd? My mom just bought it for me and I am very impressed. Also, rock opera = 8)

Yeah, I got late last year, very good. Love most of the songs, no bad ones that I can think of.

Yeah, it's got some good songs, some bad ones. I like the rock operas.

I dunno, it's still a great album, but it's the only Green Day album where I usually skip songs - namely Boulevard of Broken Dreams - it just irks me with the emo-ness. And 'Are We the Waiting?' sometimes gets a skip for me, because it's average and it reminds of 'Youth of a Nation' too much. =\ Also, the song American Idiot uses the riff from Dillinger Four's 'Doublewhiskycokenoice'. OMG. Still, the album rocks out.

I still love Green Day, even if they've become a bit sillier and eyeliner'd nowadays.

Yeah..second song is really long, I like it, but its not my favorite on the entire album. Boulevard of broken dreams is my favorite..it really makes me crying :'( The whole album is awsome..Green Day rocks! ! !

Either of the 5-in-1s (Jesus of Suburbia and Homecoming) are my favourites from the CD.

I didn't like it much. Many of my friends who own it instantly thought it was crap and one therefore insisted Greenday had sold old and are now shit, which is odd as they like them before American Idiot.
Anyway...do they think they're cool making a stab at America, as if nobody's ever done that before?

Ditto.

I don't really like this album at all, though.

This is going to sound sort of cheesy, but the songs....I don't know. There's no passion in Billie Joe's voice. He used to get so into songs, even on Warning. I'm probably the only person who feels that way though.

When I saw them on the cover of some magazine wearing ties, I knew that they were dead to me, and that to even listen to American Idiot would be to dance on their grave.

I like the album, not the best. I listen to Jesus of Suburbia most and American Idiot the least, it annoys the hell out of me! International Superhits is easily the best.

From beginning to end, repeatedly.
An album that starts very well, and descends painfully into mediocrity.
