I for one reason or another love the used. No seriously. Almost all my friends still don't believe that I really like them just because of alot of other music I listen to. But I'm pretty eclectic and have a wide span of bands that I listen to. But if you asked me what my favorite band was then right off the top of my head I would say the used. I know automatically that makes me sound like I don't know shit about music but I like um!

The Rapture combine some of the best dance music I have heard with some great basslines and funky guitars. The vocals are original and they outstrip The Used by far, even though the genres are completely different.

OK dude i believe you. I thought if you listened to the used you would know they have better guitar riffs and drum beats and that the rapture are more complex. Lol, fine by me. Just to get it straight, each Rapture song has about 4-6 layers of different instruments, so being good on the gutar isnt that necessary, if you know what I mean, it just needs to be catchy.

Anyway. My worst band is probably McFly/Busted or Slipknot. Or 90% of all Pop Music. I dont like alot of bands!

I've only heard them once and I think they are worse than Linkin Park by far! Yeah they suck sweaty hairy balls too.

Thats pretty lame the way people are coming into this thread and saying things like "the used rock stfu" or "no they suck stfu". like if you don't like them then okay why waste a post. I would expect a little more rationality from the people I see doing so.

As far as the used being the worst band in the world I wouldn't go that far. I mean okay so the drum tempos and time changes aren't like the most well thought out in the entire world but he makes up for it with the fills and the constant change of variations through out almost all of the songs. Making the drum work very intricate and stylish. And yes the lyrics aren't the best either but the way the are delivered is awsome. I admit I wasn't a big fan of the screaming at first but listening to the used has left me open for alot of the music I love today like Blood brothers, The mars volta, dillinger escape plan, the chariot, A static lullaby, Underoath and soooo much more. The way I was going my favorite bands right now would probably be Cold play or Muse or something. I say that because usually people like me who like bands like The cure, The pixies, early radio head, and Blur end up listening bands like that. like I live in arizona so we heard alot of early stuff from the used. Maybe thats why I still like them because they once were like the little band I listenend to that know one else liked. But none the less there not as horrible as everyone is making them out to be. Its just different people prefer different sounds and styles of music. I personally try to find the best in everything. even metal or hip hop. But I do think this thread has alot of underminded and slightly immature post within it.

The Used are awesome!, i went to see them last month in Newcastle, My Chemical Romance were supporting them, it was an awesome gig! :), i like MCR more than the Used tho!

They are good all around nothing amazing considering they're EMO and I refuse to ever support EMO fully. but I will listen to them
