Im really embarrassed to tell this story because, It's quite possibly the most pathetic video game attempt you've ever heard.

Ive only played and beaten FF7 once.
The average lvl I know of when they beat sephiroth is low 80's up to 90's.....

I WAS LEVEL 61 WHEN I BEAT SEPHIROTH..... 61!!!

Im not bull shiting you either. I seriously beat sephiroth at lvl 61, and the sad part is that was Cloud..... Red XIII and Vincent were like 54........

Vincents phycial attack did about 400 ish...

HOw the hell did I beat him??? Id like to ask myself the same question, I only pulled of Knights of the Round twice, I didn't have mime masterd = \ so thats only 2 knights of the round.

I don't know if it was luck or what but it's embarrassing.... but I learned a very valauble (if thats how you spell that... = \ ) lesson.

Erm. I beat Sephiroth at level 46 with no trouble. I've heard of people winning that fight in the late 20s. He really wasn't a difficult boss at all.

it's really not that hard to beat him at all, they build you up to hav this fantastically hard fight and when you get there, a few wellplaced cures, various summons, DeBarriers & Barriers, along with those trusty limit breaks, you can beat him pretty easy. I think i might'a ben at level 70 tho. i'll tell ya who you won't beat easy, Emrald and Ruby, so hav fun with those

No bullshit. That's what I've heard from people on this very site. And as for my own stats/materia/etc., I don't even remember. I played FFVII one time and have no desire to ever play it again because of how horribly disappointed I was with it.

it's not a retarded story. sure it's smart to level up during your rpg game (i learned that the hard way too) but i think you should be proud of beating sephiroth at such a low level. i could barely beat him at level 99, but i didn't have KOTR. I only had one live charcter, Cid, with only 1, yes, exactly 1 HP and i said "I CAN'T DO THIS!!!" and so i kinda gave up, attacked normally with Cid and he died. So i guess they really want you beat him :-P

Im not sure, maybe seph was so hard for me because well, ff7 was like my first RPG, but I don't know if that would really be the deciding factor.

My physical attacks and materia weren't much to look at, all I could trust was 2 KOTOR summons, and thats it.

I only had Omnislash, no other ultimate limit breaks....

Umm... basically any battle with KOTR is a guaranteed win, and Sephiroth isn't that hard at all, I beat him with my levels in the 50's where my main summon was Bahamut-ZERO and then just a bunch of physical attacks, everyone makes him out to be harder than the fight actually is.

Okay. I beat Emerald weapon when I was level 52. And I beat Sephiroth at 45. Not hard. At all. I had more trouble with fightimg Yans in FF9 at level 67 than fighting Sephiroth at level 46.

Omnislash, Mime, And the best E.Skills. Done. I didn't even use KotR.

And how the hell is it embarrasing to beat Sephiroth at 67?! Isn't it better than beating him at like level 99?! Then you can boast about your skills. WHich you really can't because beating him at lvl 67 is a walk in the park.

This is really weird then ha ha because my guys in FF7 sucked hardcore, no joke.. Honestly my physical attacks where shitty, and theres no way I can comprehend defeating a weapon at my level.

What weapon did you have? I remember beating Sephiroth at level 65 with a Buster Sword. I had to be lvl 99 to beat Ememrald with the Buster Sword thoug. (that was tough..if you want a challenge go fight Emerald with a Buster Sword where Omnislah does about 3000 only every hit)

Rofl I had Ultimata Weapon... so yea. I dont know wtf I did.

my embarassing/really annoying story is that i was running round the crater on the last disc, fighten those little orange balls that give u a whole load of A.P for winning (this was ment to be my final game with everything maxed out and done, i'd allready beaten emerald and ruby, all unltimate weapons limits ect, was now tryin to get a full master set for each person) i got in a fight with an elixer pot, and silly my forgot what he was doin and bloody hit the thing, the problem was i had the Rangnork equpied on Cloud because of it mulipler effect on A.P, the bloodt pot stole my Ultimate weapon for cloud, had no elixers, had to run away and lose it forever, had not saved the game for a long time, really annoyed, stupid me for hitting a bloody pot

sephiroth was very easy to me. i beat him without knights to the round and omnislash the first time and was only like level 60-65.

im like 85 and hes still easy.. easier than ever! so you had to have heard wrong.

I didn't say it gets progressively harder. I said I've heard his difficulty increases if you reach level 99, not before then.

I noticed that a long time ago. I compared a level 68 game to a level 99 game and I noticed a very big difference in Sephy's tactics and power.

I compared the first time i completed the game at level 57, and the last time that i completed with all, adn seph's tecnics are a pain in the "@%%", he always uses his heartless angel, and his hp is three times or more at level 99, but with an omnislash with ultima weapon and KORT, his done for

That would explain why supernova did 8000 damage to my level 99 party but only about 3000 to my level 70 party. He wasn't even close to hard, though, because I was just about literally invincible with my level 99 party.

I neva had Knight of the round, i still beat him, I equiped ALL materia, it was so easy wid dat. QuickHIT and also dat thing DOUBLE ATTACK

What do you mean by quick hit? Isn't that only in ffx?

i think he means counter attack, i supernova does differant damage according to your h/p, i was on level 50-60 and my h/p was 9999 on all characters, he took me down to 600hp each charcter, but if i was at 5000 hp, it would of still taken me down to 600hp, so it all depends on your h/p when he casts it.

I actually had a somewhat hard time with him at lvl 99 but I think it might be becuase some of his attacks are based upon your lvl if I remember correctly.

you know that saving point you get just before you enter the northern crater. silly me thought the crater wouldnt be that long so i decided to put the saving point right at the beginning of the entrance which meant that everytime i died fighting one winged angel i had to go through the whole northern crater again..

I beat sephy wit most of my party members on lvl 50's and i didnt hav KOTR but it seemed easy bcos any time i wanted 2 show my frends dat i had beaten him i wuld always win.

That last save point thing was such bullshit. It pissed me off. I reset my game so i could replace it again and I put it where the path forks off. One east (north dunno which direction) and one west (south....). Pissy crap taka

i also kept makin silly mistakes like using fire on a fire monster, or casting a reflect on a member of my party and then halfway through the battle id forget about the reflect and use cure....

when i first played the game i tought the ALL materia meant that you will have it all-as in ALL magic,ALL commands and such...im a retard

I hate the Final Boss, of course I hate training which meant I was at a crappy level and I ended up getting my arse kicked by him.

He isn't that hard...level 20 is ridiculous but if you are level 45+ you will be fine.

i myself on my first and only playthrough used cait sith cid and cloud to defeat sephiroth and i found it easy. i had no ultimate weapons or knights of the round yet i found it easy all i did was attack as much as possible a chuck an ocassional megalixer it was easy.

the only way i could beat Sephiroth was with KOTR and another party member who had mimic, and the other had Destruct Materia to get rid of Wall.......
Cloud lvl 79- KOTR
Tifa lvl 75- Destruct
Barret lvl 78 - Mimic

Ha ha ha ha! I made a similar mistake, I wasn't sure how long the cave would be, and I ended up finnishing the game without without using the 'Save Crystal'

that's really sad. i hope, you're not guilty. the very first time i beat Sephiroth, i never used the other parties cuz i didn't know if they would let you switch back. i didn't want anything weird to happen like the people you beat him with are the only ones that survive, ya know? but i had no ultimate weapons and i didn't have vincent or yuffie so i was missin alot of important stuf but i was on like level 70. that whole level 20 thing...i don't know, the GI Natak was kinda hard for me at level 20 so Sephiroth, i don't think so.

WTF are you talking about. I beat him at lvl 50 first time I played with KOTR. It wasnt easy but I did it. 61 with KOTR would be like simple.

word of advice though, dont use a gameshark to boost up your levels and then dont master any materia, get KOTR, basically have no materia equipped for the battle, and equip baretts final weapon without any materia on it at all (its strength depends on how powerful the materia on it is). i did that once and i was screwed, but then i played through normally and did fine

maybe you just used omnislash that will kill him 20 times over

lowest i ever beat sephiroth was lvl 49 i think.it was tough,i was as weak as sin.no way were u lvl 20 fighting sephiroth though.i was lvl 20 by Corel ffs

u know, i never really knew KOTR existed until i played through and found all the secrets, mostly by accident (Yuffie), or by my friends giving me the, "You ain't no good 'cause you ain't got Knights of The Round Table." i had to eventually figure it out and it took a couple of tries 'cause i hav no patience. so it isn't impossible to beat him without KOTR but level 20, i say, prove it

yeah,no way could anyone beat sephiroth at lvl 20.no way.you would have about 1200 HP at best.unless you have copius amounts of HP plus materia it wouldnt be possible

I thought it was hard to beat the last boss. I think the main reason i thought this was because I just treated him like another monster battle and didnt prepare myself for him that much. I still beat him it just took me more time.

not to sound like an asshole, but is it at all possible that the fact he has 150000 hp have something to do with the fact it took you longer to beat him

Both Ruby and Emerald Weapons only have 1 Million HP.

Sephiroth has like 70,000 the first round, 40,000 the secound round and somewhere around 7,000 the last time. or something of that nature, my count may be a little off
