And not the mainstream crap like NIN or Rob Zombie or Rammstein...real industrial...anyone into it? It's all I listen to these days, really...anyone else into stuff like Velvet Acid Christ, :wumpscut:, Front Line Assembly, Haujobb, Funker Vogt, KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, etc?

Or, am I all alone? :-(

Haha...I join an FF forum, and my FIRST 2 posts are music-related, not FF...figures :-p

ja, I listen to quite a bit of it. the new Skinny Puppy was great, there's a hilarious music video to Pro-test too.

X-Fusion and Dismantled also had a nice recent release.

also really suggest checking out the Lights of Euphoria One Nation / You Better Run CDM. two really great recent tracks. <3

If you've got the time, check it out. Drank from AiB is in there all the time, as is Bryan from VAC, since it is his forum and all...

Lots of cool music in there...gets ya exposed to stuff you may have never heard of otherwise.

I wouldn't say NIN is mainstream crap like Rammstein, they are more mainstream than other Industrial bands, but Rammstein are just crap, whilst NIN (Trent Reznor) manages to put some thought into his music and releases some brilliant music. Anyway yeah I like that sort of stuff, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, KMFDM. Its different from the other types of music I listen to (mainly 'grunge' and underground Indie,) but yeah I like Industrial.

But if there's already a thread about industrial music in existance, why make a brand new one. That just seems kinda pointless. =)

I wouldnt call Rammstein mainstream just because every american listens to it without realizing what theyre talking about.

Dont get me wrong im not a diehard rammstein fan, or industrial for that matter, but I speak german and some of their shit is pretty damn deep and thought provoking.

Like the song "amerika", every damn american i know sings it thinking its some pro america song, while its a reminder of how "americanization" is destroying cultures and spreading like a disease.

But as said this is not a rammstein thread so I wont go on, like it or dont like it.

The only industrial band I listen to quite a lot are Killing Joke, but I also do love bands such as Android Lust, Nocturne, Neuroticfish <3

Killing Joke's industrial? I have their first album, their self-title from 81 or something, and I like it a lot, but I probably wouldn't classify it as industrial (they may be industrial now, though, I don't know). Other than that, I like MSI and some songs from Fear Factory.

Well, by now industrial's a pretty wider term, but I always knew Killing Joke as an industrial band, even though they're kinda "proto-industrial", influencing many many other bands who're nowadays called industrial.

I'm typing the word industrial too much!

I kinda figured "Amerika" wasn't a pro-america song when they said in plain English, "This is not a love song!"

KMFDM, Oomph!, Ministry, Gravity Kills, Pitchshifter, Fear Factory, Orgy, and Front Line Assembly are my fav industrial bands. I like Rammstein despite the fact that they are mainstream crap.

Okay, don't shoot, this being an old thread and all but...Rammstein... mainstream CRAP??
I couldn't agree more, Despite. Their songs are more deep and meaningful than all today's pop and rap combined, and I doubt that even half of the people who listen to them actually understand the songs.
And yes, I am a fan of Rammstein.

End of rant, have a nice evening everyone.
