I heard that along with Advent Children, FFVII was being remade with the same awesome graphics. Do any of you know if this is true?

I am sorry to say that Square stated a while back saying that as long as the playstation machines have backwards compatable there will be no remake.

Yeah, they probably won't. But one never knows all we can do is hope and pray. God willing they'll realize that they could make boatloads of money if they remade FF7 to FFX graphics.

It would be even better with AC graphics. They look even better than FFX. Have you seen the newly made Barret. He looks awesome compared to what he looks like in FFVII.

If they remade it FFX style and kept the storyline the same as the original FF7 it would be killer. However, they way Square Soft, now Square Enix =( is going, I'm not to hopeful. After FFX they started putting out one crappy game after another.....

Hmmm, that's a good question. But remaking FF7 wouldn't do much but waste Square's time redoing something that we all know the whole storyline and the ending to. I think they should create a NEW FF7 ... sorta like this one

i believe that a remake would suck. If anything, they need to make a sequal, explaining all the mysteries of the first game. It turns out that none of the mysteries are gonna be explained in the movie AC, and it would be nice to get some closure...although it is fun trying to come up with yur own explanations for some of these things....but its been long enuf...we the people NEED TO KNOW!!!

I just say that it would be profitable to remake it simply because it would bring in new users. While I do appreciate the idea that the game is a classic (because it is!) I also have several friends that won't touch it simply because it's so polygonal!!!!

If they keep the storyline they way it was originally they just could pull it through. However, I am very dissapointed with them at the moment. They put out not one, but several EXTREMELY dissapointing games one after another. Just remember, with the way things are going, it may be a good idea....that's why their not doing it.

(Most of them have super computers and what not, instead of PS original) Either way, they could still make boatloads of money and cool stuff like that on a remake by attracting new fans, imagine that...

Either way, I don't work for Square Soft, or Enix, or whatever the hell it is now, so I don't have any idea. We shall see.

Yeah graphics ain't the only good think (though they do make the game better) its mostly about the game play and FF7 got great game play but it does need better graphics.

I think that if it was remade that yes it would bring more people and yes it would be as good or better (by the graphics i mean) then the original, but, for experienced players they could make fights harder, maybe have some more side quests, even have an extra disc to play after you fight sephiroth, not like AC two yrs later but before that leading up to it..........now that i think about it that might be a little stupid but still i think that it would be awsome if they did remake the game, i'd buy it!

I would but it too. graphics are a bit old so the need 2 be updated, sound should be updated too and the spells names like blizzard, blizzaga and so instead of ice 1 or ice 2 and maybe some more sidequests and making yufie and vincent obligatory caracters would be good.
Well maybe there should be asoul temple too like soul of chaos an soul of rebirth, in FF7 it might be Soul of Materia hehehehe it is funny

yeah the music sounds like its from a really old keyboard (prob. is), but what do you mean by Soul Temple? like for Aires? What would be the porpose? its a cool idea and all but you would have to add loads, which would be cool and add more to the story but what would happen with it?

realy? no i havent......but maybe you are thinking of Dirge of Cerebrus. Its a game about Vincent after the meteor, its an action/shoot'em up, i think thats what you are talking about.

i think he did..at least he added computer graphics...and you can't improve much more..the acting was great in them! =)

.....anyway..back to the subject,

a remake would be a great idea, considering some people don't like to play the sucky graphics of the PSone, but manage too because of the addictive storyline, but still it would be nice to have something pleasing for the eye as well as a good storyline.
