The second and third one is kinda random. But I do like the first one. It looks like a picture for a watch advertisement but it's still a good shot.

Uh. Trying to put this nicely. They all seem to be just photos of random, boring things (that is the ones of objects, not the one of you), but in black and white so it's all 'artsy'.

They just don't really do it for me. I think if you found some more interesting things to take photos of it would be good, because you seem to take nicely lit photos.

I agree with Vyv, they're just random. The only reason they are remotely close to eye-catching is the black and white. Other than that they look like crime scene photos. The pictures aren't telling me anything either. I don't get any sensations, or feelings from the photos. Also the pictures of the objects are way to big, it ruins the sense of detail small objects have. Example if you take a picture of a leaf 12 feet away it would look ridiculous, but when 3-4 cm away from the lens, with a moderate, yet stylish angle it can look like gold. Which brings another point up, your angles are random too. Avoid aerial shots, try unique, original angles. Just keep at it, you have the right idea. The one of yourself is kind of snazzy though.

Yeah I just did most of those last night in my room and basement so my options where kind of limited. I apperciate the somments greatly and I plan to go and find some better subject material soon.

EDIT: I got some more of pictures up.

Hey the building is cool. You should of laid in a funny angle in the snow or somthing but its still a good subject to shoot. I tend to stay away from structure pics but sometimes you find stuff that you can't pass up. And I think the pic of the child should would be kinda cool in black and white.

Much better, these pictures have more meaning to them. The one of the little girl is my favorite, I'm still not keen on the angles though. Try being more creative. : /

A floor shot looking up the chapel wall from an angle would've looked nice. You would've captured the detail of the brick wall, and it's overall appearance.

The blue ice machine is neat, because everything else looks like its in black and white. I can't tell if you editted that yourself or not.

The basketball hoop and the building were better. They're still pretty good.

They're nice, but the angles are boring. : /

Also try to keep a foreground, middle, and background to some pictures.

Okay, being a photographer myself I'd like to help you out in your work, I think it's good but needs improvment. For example, the shot of the playground has beautiful lighting and amazing exposer on the snow, but something is off in composition. Actully composition is your main problem, for example, your ice machine shot is really well done, but i'd like you see it with a tighter crop, I'd show you, but for some reason I can't attach the image. Anyway, my suggestion is to keep at it, your going in the right direction. Try working on angles, you don't have to be so straight, tilt things up a bit. And really work on tighter composition, try and find your focal point in the image then compose the background to help it stand out more. I hope this helps you out some, my best advice is not to stop, and keep going on as you are, it's the only learn and get better - peace

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

A couple new pictures.

I was kind of dissapointed with this one it didn't really turn out the way I wanted it to.

the 1st two were really good. You can definitely see that you're trying to work on the angles thing, and its paying off. The last one leaves a bit to be desired. Maybe if you had gone a little closer in, and tilted up it'd be neater, but its still not a bad photo.

Wow! I think you've got a lot of potential! My mom's a photographer and my brother dabbles in it quite nicely. I can kind of see your voice in these. Even the couch one. I think it's very real and reflects some of the very simplest things about everyday, ordinary life. I respect the photographer the goes more for meaning rather then visually interesting photos. I really like the broken headphones.

I'm liking it overall. I really like the Basketball hoop, the contrast between the blue and rust is great. I don't really like the couch picture , and the old building could have used a little angle. I can't wait for more.

These were more fun than anything else. Me and a friend (who defiantly doesn't post here under the name GreyMenace :-X ) messing around with a stencil we had made for semi-school related project.

damn, that is one sexy shadow! I like the first one the best, the one in the snow should've been cropped closer on the right side in my opinion

you really seem interested in the significance of simplicity

thats all good and dandy, but i would reccomend something included in the picture to put more meaning into the given object your shooting. if im right in assuming you like shooting every day things, try shooting it to be a metaphor, include another object in the background to add meaning, or use the angle of your shot to emphasize a focal point, or to manipulate the meaning

i really dont know if you followed any of this, i have a bad way with words, but... thats my advice

on the topic, youve made alot of progress from your earlier pictures to your later ones... the couch compared to the communist shadow (the kid holding the stencil... the observer clearly has material of which to interpret in that picture, i think its my favorite.
