Brian "Head" Welch from KoRn left the band cuz he found God. Discussion and funny humor, begin NOW!!!

God probably told him that making music that shitty was sinful.

Seriously though, I applaud his willingness to endure the scorn of pimply interweb message board posters by being honest to the press about the reason for his quitting.

That's pretty cool. Plus no more Korn! What a day!

Well the nice thing about God is that He comes in many different forms and acts in many different ways depending on who or what you put stock in.

Korn doesn't have that sort of versatility.

It's no secret that God-hating is cool on the INTERNET. It's good that he was honest and didn't make up some bullshit like "creative differences".

I certainly wasn't going for revolutionary when I said I dislike God. I don't feel the need to shock...I just think only in America could someone feel that finding God required them to do something such as quit a band...why so much drama? I found a 5 note once but I didn't quit my job...

Oh bother, what a lot of rubbish why throw away a "career" to find something that none of us know exsists. He'll be back...they always are. Such as Mase the rapper who retired for 5 years because he found "God" , became a pastor and then returned to rap only to be a more R n B singer than the mighty rapper he once was. twat. Mind you Korns career is just about over so Head leavin probably won't make a difference.

squished a rotten peach in my fist
and dreamed about you woman
i poked my finger down inside makin' a little room for a ant to hide
nature's candy in my hand or can or a pie

Hey thanks for reviving this ancient fucking thread

I will add my thoughts though - I think it's ridiculous that people gave this guy so much shit, and still do, especially after his book about the whole thing came out. It's just as bad as people giving James Hetfield of Metallica shit for going sober for the sake of his personal health and his family. There's so many assholes out there that are too "cool" to respect people that are strong enough to clean up their lifestyles and it fucking makes me sick.

Brian Welch wanted to better his life in various ways, particularly for his family, and that deserves respect. You may not agree with the religion and all, you may not like the music he used to help write, but so fucking what.

When I made fun of Brian Welch back in 2005, I was a lot more ignorant back then. Today, I don't find anything wrong with God. And it's not hurting anyone, and he's saving himself, so more power to him. But I still make fun of Mormans, just because the suits that the messengers (or something) wear crack me up!

Thank Fuck, Less scum in the music industry.
WHo cares if he found god, only thing that matters is he made a smart move and he's condemned shit to shit.

The god thing, as laughable as it is, let him have his reason and laugh at him anyway!

i say good on him. if he is happy with what he believes then so be it. we all have our points of view, it is just cool that he is open about it.

there are sooo many theists in the metal industry anyway, the slayer singer is a practicing catholic, and soo much of this crappy new stuff emerging is preachy (and dare we forget Dave Musgrave of Megadeth). i say don't mock him, onviously something big happened to him to make him convert.
