I've just started to listen to Opera but have only listened to operas that have been recorded by Bocelli and Pavarotti. Eg. Aida, Madame Butterfly, Turandot, Tosca, La Boheme and a few others. Very keen to learn and listen more.

400GB?? Wow, bob you're a legend, if I lost that much I wouldn't be able to reupload anything ('cause my internet sucks). Also, try to name your files in such a way that it doesn't reveal its contents... you'll get DMCA notices automatically if the filenames are obvious. Just a heads up!

I'm pretty sure that the new system I'm using will keep me safe. It's quite radically different from how I was doing things previously.

how many time did you take to do that? half a working day?Keeping in mind that I have a day job I have to go to, from the moment I opened the Solti-Wagner box for the first time until I posted the OP in this thread announcing that it was available for download took about a week. It was the most massive scanning job I've ever had, plus I had to go through every single track on all 36 CDs and make sure their file names were all formatted consistently, plus I had to check the typing/spelling on their libretto quote to make sure they match the .pdf file librettos included with the set. (I would have done all that anyway, even if I was only doing it for myself, so don't feel guilty or anything. The only things extra I did for FF Shrine were to upload the files to MEGA and then post the OP.)

Because yes that is the version I'm looking for : )OK, in that case, the only Tannhauser material I've got with singing is the opera performed by Solti and the Vienna Philharmonic that you already know about. It's been too long since the last time I listened to it for me to remember exactly which parts have the Pilgrims' Chorus, so the best thing I can recommend is for you to download the opera (1.3 gigabytes), listen to it, pick out the tracks that you want to keep, and delete the rest if you like. I have it in .flac, so you could also convert the opera into .mp3 format and that would reduce its size considerably. (No, I won't convert it to .mp3 myself, but you can get innumerable free converters on the internet that will do the job for you just fine.) If that sounds like something you'd be interested in doing, let me know, and I can fix you up with some links.

Or, here's another suggestion that just occurred to me: Now that you know that it's called "Pilgrims' Chorus", maybe you could do a search on YouTube or some other streaming service for "Tannhauser Pilgrims Chorus". You might have some luck that way. I just tried it on YouTube and immediately came up with a whole bunch of decent-quality hits. (I'm listening to the "Ponte Singers" as I'm typing this and they sound pretty decent.)

Either way, let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

I have re-upped this package, and it is available again for download, in case anybody who didn't get it previously would like a copy.

All the scans/artwork and .flac files are exactly the same as before. I�ve added password protection to the .rar files just simply to keep MediaFire from snooping around, but otherwise there are no changes from before.
