I know exactly what sort of game I'm in the mood for, but I can't think of any games that fit my criteria- not any that I haven't already played, at any rate. So I'm hoping that someone here can suggest something.

I'm looking for an action type game with a great story, but no more then 20-25 hours of gameplay, in a nutshell.

Honestly, it doesn't even have to be an action game as long as the gameplay and story are solid, and it doesn't run too long.

I have too many epic rpgs I need to finish, and all the games I've had the time to beat lately haven't been had enough story for my liking. Yeah. You get what I'm saying, I'm sure.

I have all the major consoles, so anything for any of them is fine.

Thank you. ^^

Resident Evil 4 is pretty short (at least 10-15 hours of gameplay) and I can't name any slow moments of the game... not even puzzle sequences.

Totally agree... Resident Evil 4 is great.

Prince of Persia: Sands of time if you haven't played it was really good. If you have played it, then you should definitely check out Warrior Within.

Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door - Excellent, hilarious game. I can't remember exactly how many hours it took me to finish, but it wasn't a whole lot.

007: Everything or Nothing - Best Bond game since Goldeneye. Decent story, great gameplay.

Any of the Onimusha Games are great.

Devil May Cry 3 is releasing soon, I hear that is pretty good.

Max Payne and it's sequel have the most well made story in a video game in years in my opinion. I love them both.

Syberia and it's sequel is a good story if you like Adventure/Puzzle type stuff.

Mercenaries. Hilarious fun, about 15 hours of story-based game in there, and probably a good 20 more if you love fucking about with shit. Oh man, I love that game. It's like the a team.

If you haven't played Metroid Prime yet Mandi, try that - or even better, Metroid Fusion for your GBA. They're addictive, but just long enough to keep you satisfied to the end.

I've told you Mandi about Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door over the phone. I told you to buy it, and then the next time I called you, I told you to forget that game and get Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

MGS3 Snake Eater, MGS3 Snake Eater, it's got a widget, a widget, a widget it has got.

And, yes, I have wet dreams about Devil May Cry 3. Make sure you reserve it.

Kthxbi (and all forms of it) will now be replaced with a sentence of my choice from now on. It's not wanted here. I won't have it said.

But MGS3 and DMC3 are both awesome choices - DMC3 is apparently rock fucking hard though.

Yeah, I heard the first boss is rock solid.

Anyway, whether these have been said:

Mercenaries, coz looks far better than GTA: SA, Metroid Prime 1/2 becuase they are both amazing games and Metroid Prime 2 has a decent 4 player deathmatch mode and Dark Samus! Prince of Persia 1 or 2, although 2 is alot better than 1, imo. The Legend of Zelda, Four Swords Adventures, while it is mainly intended for four player, it is just as good with one player. Resident Evil 4, ... ... ... ...that's it for now.

It's the forums fault, it grew on me. But yes couple more days, and I'll be having multiple orgasms.

As for what this thread has become, I have no idea. I would recommend Metal Gear Solid (MGS) 3. Awesome game. Very violent and a kewl storyline. I would recommend a Final Fantasy, however, you have to be insanely good and fast to beat them in under 25 hours.

Three words, Mandi.

Legacy of Kain.

Usually about ten hours worth of gameplay, and awesome story. Though fair mix of action and puzzles, and the last Soul Reaver game and Defiance are just beautiful graphics wise.
