OK, any 'likers' of Franz Ferdinand in here?

Let's see, they are a Scottish Alternative Rock/Indie Band.

My two favourite songs by them are "Take Me Out" and "Shopping for Blood".

So, anyway, post your favourite songs too. (If you have heard of them/like them of course).

I am a Franz Ferdinand fan.

"Take Me Out" is a pretty rad song. Do you like the band "Modest Mouse"?

Yep, I love Modest Mouse.

Franz Ferdinand is very snazzy. Take Me Out is actually my least favorite song. I like Michael and Darts of Pleasure much more.

Yes, "The Killers" rock. I had their hit song "Somebody Told Me" stuck in my head for days. It was also stuck in my sterio for days. =)

Anyone heard that they plan to release some brand spanking new stuff come March?

bah, the killers are nowhere near as inventive as franz, though their music is a little cold, I guess. FF are probably my favourite new band of last year.

Franz Ferdinard is ok the only song I've ever heard from him is "Take Me Out" and that song is pretty good. I like Modest Mouse they're good and as for The Killers they're good as well.

modest mouse is pretty good. im surprised they arent more popular.

i love the killers, but i absolutely dispised somebody told me. it wasnt until i was forced into hearing the rest of their stuff that i liked it.

Eisley is where it's at imho. ^__^

I don't like Franz Ferdinand or Modest Mouse because their songs annoy me. But I LOVE the Killers. Especially their new song "Mr. Brightside".

My favorite English speaking band yet. Franz, Modest Mouse, and The Killers are good but Eisley owns all. (In my opinion)

Talking to me right? If so they're good too I still like Eisley better though but they are really good. I like the song Walking With A Ghost the best. There's something wrong though cause I can only listen to the songs available on the first album only. Also what genre are they and Eisley too. (I looked it up for Eisley and it said rock but I wasn't sure.)

Eisley's genre is rock/pop and the style is alternative/indie. i think people call that sort of stuff "emo" though i'm not sure.

tegan and sara's genre is Rock/Pop and the style is alternative folk, punk-pop, adult
alternative, pop/rock, indie rock, and alternative/indie.

when in doubt turn to mp3.com

Oh thanks more than enough information.

Alright to be on topic Franz Ferdinard is ok but his song Take me Out made no sense to me. I'm probably the only one that didn't understand it but still it bugs me a bit. The lyrics didn't really focus on anything in particular. It just sort of bounced everywhere in my opinion. It kinda annoys me when that happens so that's why I don't really like Franz.

Yeah, but if you have only heard one song. Download Shopping For Blood, their best song.

I abhor The Killers, modest mouse, the libertines, and the rest of the recent spurt of indie shit that's flooding the world and making young people wear dress jackets over t-shirts. I especially hate The Killers though. Fucking awful.

PS: Franz were nowhere near the best rock artist at the Brits. Neither they nor the killers are "inventive," in my opinion.

Not unless they're nutcases.

I call stuff like Eisley "white belt music." Normally I don't like it much, but they are fantastic.

I can't quite get over the fact that you have made over 7,000 posts, TK!!

Also, I heard that "emo" was like metal, but really emotional, like slitting wrists, and hangng themselves, and being lonely, etc.

Yeah that is true, I must admit, I can't base them on one song. So I will try to check out that song.

I love the Franz Ferdinand album. Especially the first track.

Modest Mouse is good too, and I really liked the Killers album. I've been listening to Modest Mouse for a while though.

My favorite cd I bought all last year was probably the Lovage album, but that actually came out a few years ago.

Franz Bloody Ferdinand are just too famous right now, they are everywhere and at first Take me out was good yeah i liked it but after hearing again and again i just wanna throw the tv and the radio out the window!!! i cant take it anymore!!!

plus living in Scotland doesnt help any, its like they have put a good name to the scottish music scene or whatever but i cant stand them!!!!

I'm pretty sure that I've never heard a Franz Ferdinand song. So I think that if you're that bothered by one of their songs, it shouldn't be difficult to avoid listening to it. =|

But you said "Take Me Out" was good, right? That should mean I'm unlucky for not hearing it. If it's a good song and you've simply heard it too often, you shouldn't fault the band for it.
