To tell the truth I liked the first album off eye ball records because the recording was awesome. And Also I admit that I was a little dragged in by the whole gothy scifi thing on the lyrics from the first cd.

And also I like that spanish guitar peice they opened up with You brought me your love, I brought you my bullets or whatever. The peice is actaully called Romanza and it pretty awesome sounding if you hear it on a classical guitar.

I think you misunderstood I hate that rawer style of rock that was around during 2002, but then again looking back at that post I just made I understand why anyone would misunderstand, though at that time I had just found out someone I know had just been hit by a car and sent through the window of a local Pizza Hut.

My Chemical Romance was around longer than the Used. Just goes to show what happens to your music education when you get it from the radio. Also, Bullets and 3 Cheers for Sweet Revenge are pretty decent cds. The new one isn't so great though. Also, Sain, if you dont even know who your own quote is from, I have pity on you. MCR is one of my favorite bands. When I meet new people and we get around to discussing music (usually in the first 5 minutes, if that :) I automatically mention The Ataris, MCR, and Green Day. I've loved all of them for years and they represent all that is great about music. They write powerful lyrics that are affecting to so many, they are socially conscious, and they are caring human beings.

MCR are also an amazing live band. The greatest I have had the honor to see, repeatedly. At an MCR show you feel connected to not only Gerard, Frank, Bob, Mikey, and Ray, but everyone in the audience.

I could go on for days, so I'll leave this brief. I also couldn't care less about the opinions of haters. 1.) They are entitled to their opinion; to each his own. 2.) As Gerard has said at every MCR concert I have attended, "the continued existance of this band is a big F*** Y** to so many people, thank you for making that possible"

ive been to a fair share of shows, and i feel like that all the time. theyre not doing anything special. i mean, i dance like a madman, and the fact that i can fall on someones head, help em up, throw my arm around em and dance with them without them even giving a shit rocks. and thats just about every show i go to. its about loving one another and hating cops.

as i remember gerad's favourite bands are the smiths, the cure and joy division. none of which are "90s pop/rock bands". not to defend mcr but i'd rather a band be influenced by joy division, the smiths and co than see another boring bunch of led zep wannabes.

At least the Zep wannabes actually sound better than stuff like MCR though. MCR just sounds like any other pop-rock band from the last 10 years to me, just more screaming and emo-esque lyrics. Emo has been going on for years and years, nobody's actually noticed until about a year ago. I'm really trying not to go out on a massive diss-fest on these guys unless I got a good reason to or if I see someone else doing it. So for that reason I'm ending the post now.

If I weren't so tired I'd violently Scour both of you, they're not that bad though, not all that great either but to say they suck is something really brave to say, good on ya for expressing your opinions but, for me, no way, those guys had talent and skill though not my favourite band, other bands around that era I like are Deep Purple and Rainbow. My main favourite band have to be Iron Maiden. although I do enjoy Black Sabbath, Dio and Metallica from time to time. Imho they all beat crap like MCR though, even if you think Zep sucks any of their stuff can instantly overshadow and destroy the crap from MCR.

I really don't like Led Zeppelin, they are pretty terrible I don't like most stuff that they generated either except for Wolfmother. I like Wolfmother quite a bit, they are fun.

Ok, look, My Chemical Romance isn't bad by any means, IMO. 3 Cheers for Sweet Revenge was very good. I don't like Black Parade, but, I don't think they deserve the grief that most people give them here. After all, they are worlds better than Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, and Bowling For Soup. I liked MCR way before they ended up on the radio anyways.

As far as Led Zeppelin goes, they are excellent. But, it is something you're either going to like or you're not going to like. But to call songs like Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, Trampled Under Foot, and Kashmir bad, is just kind of strange to me. If those songs are bad, tbqh, I'd hate to hear what you think is actually good...

There are plenty of music lovers that find St Anger to be a good album, it's all up to personal opinion, everyone has their views on the good and the bad of the world of music, if someone's view is different to yours then tough shit, deal with it. That's basically why some people are saying they love and hate MCR, not everyone in the world likes the same bands as everyone else.

The "omg all music is emotional" argument is kind of dumb. Of course most music is emotional it would probably be really boring if it wasn't. Emo doesn't really stand for that anymore it's just a catch-all word for bands that fit in a certain stereotype in current pop music, that came from (like many other genres) an off shoot of the hardcore/punk scene. The word carries almost no weight today in describing what the music actually sounds like, except that you might get a kind of whiny sometimes screaming version of bad pop punk. Also, emo was pretty neat in the Jawbreaker, Fugazi, Rites of Spring definition of emo. MCR had a pretty melodic side to it and i actually enjoyed a couple of tracks from their first two records, Welcome To The Black Parade is just a silly attempt at an epic concept album, it lacks in melody, lyrics and overall sucks.

Led Zeppelin are dull for me and the same goes for Metallica

I agree. I dislike MCR. I can't stand their music. I can't stand hearing their live concerts, all you can hear is high pitched squealing. Not that I have been to a MCR Concert (which I haven't , AND I DO NOT INTEND TO GO TO ONE), some kid that I know won't stop sending me Youtube links to MCR videos - they're awful.
