Can't wait for this!

The album comes out this week in Europe, right?

Sounds really epic! And I appreciate the use of piano for a main theme's variation.

Correction: I thought the score was out tomorrow in Europe, but it looks like it's next week (the 29th) just like the US release. Boo :(

I'm jealous of everyone who got to hear the complete score live with the premiere last night at San Diego Comic Con.

I believe I've read that it's out this Friday, but in digital format...

Saw the movie yesterday. The way it was edited it didn't allow for Giacchino to write a thrilling, exciting main title scene (it's the first Star Trek movie that does NOT have main titles in the beginning), and that was a MAJOR disappointment. The movie itself is watchable, but not very good, and yes, there are three song in the movie, including The Beastie Boys and Rihanna; annoying, IMHO. This is without doubt Giacchino's weakest Star Trek score, but I doubt it's his fault; it's the way the movie is put together...

Star Trek: Nemesis didn't have one either, really.

It's a great movie.

Score's up on UK iTunes. Just search for "Star Trek" and it'll show. Track titles are loaded with wordplay, as is Giacchino's usual.

i clearly recall Star Trek Nemesis having a main title sequence. It had the title with its distinctive all squarish daggerlike font. I don't recall much about that movie, one of the worst Trek movies.
Star Trek Beyond is not a great movie, at most it's decent, but great? Nope. Mediocre, IMHO.

Varese is forbidden here.

I'm not sure I understand? Varese? The only things I can find on that word are names and locations. Shall I refrain from uploading?

Very will. I admit i'm really not familiar with the protocol surrounding new releases. I guess someone else will upload it further down the line.

I fear that much about the movie after viewing the trailer, that it will not be on the list of best movie of the year. Just the use of the NX, decommission many year is the timeline. Impervious to attacker while the constitution take hole in his hull.

Hope the NX class see in the movie is not the NX-01 or NX-02(Enterprise or Columbia), this will complicate the already disturb timeline of the reboot.

If a go see it, It will be on discount day !

I don't think Justin Lin cares for titles.
I don't remember anything spectacular in the Fast & Furious series having neat titles. They were just there.

Looking at his face on IMDb, he really looks like the smug/hipster type of guy to say "it's good enough for me". ie, he doesn't know how to make movies for fans but just makes them and walks away.

I really loved Beyond. Coming from not being a fan of Trek, everything just clicked for me. A bit surprised by the rather middling response I've seen here. Trust me, I know what mediocrity is, and this ain't it. I could easily be happy with just this film. Best of the year for me.

As always, the score is something I have to listen to before seeing the film, since it never really stands out to me a lot of the time within context. But here, because the sound system at the theater was better than anticipated, it stood out a bit.
