Since this may be (apparently) a better performance than the Dutoit recording, I may as well grab it.

Now that I have heard the Bergen-Tchaikovskies, I must hear how they handle a more modern ballet. I would love the links for these, bob, if you don't mind. Standard CD. (And if you still have the undivided tracks, I would rather have them that way --I think a lot of thought goes into these recordings and how they are sequenced and if possible, I always prefer to hear them how they were originally released.)

This orchestra is knocking my socks off and I want more, gawddammit. I can't thank you enough for calling it to my attention.

In reference to your request about getting the undivided tracks, I do not have them that way without completely re-ripping the SACDs, which would take a number of hours. (It takes about six hours of computer processing time to rip an SACD and convert it to .flac.) I should clarify for you, however, that I have not altered the order of the tracks one iota. They are ordered in the download package precisely as they were ordered on the original SACDs. And since I have formatted them in .flac, then you should hear no difference coming out of your speakers from the multiple tracks, so long as you are using a good media player, like WinAmp. All I have done is to provide additional access points from which to begin play. But once you begin the music playing from whichever track you select, you will hear nothing different coming out of your speakers from what you would hear with the original disk. That is why I am so adamant about only using .flac and never .mp3 or any other lossy format, because I want to preserve the original disk's integrity with 100% authenticity.

If you do have any trouble with the .flac files making audible separations at the track points, then I strongly recommend that you consider using WinAmp. I've been using it for several years, and it handles .flac files wonderfully. Unless I'm looking directly at my monitor to see the display change, I can't ever tell when WinAmp changes tracks in .flac format, because it does it seamlessly, just like it would sound with the original disk - even when I add extra track points.

This has been re-upped AND REMASTERED and is available for download again.

When I first uploaded this last year, it was at 96 kHz for the SACD layer. Since then, I have learned that it is better to rip SACDs at 88.2 kHz, because that way the waveform is proportional to the original DSD signal, which results in smoother sound at the higher frequencies. I don't know if it will make an audible difference to anyone, but especially considering that it also makes for slightly smaller .flac files, I figured it would be a good move to make, regardless.

(The Standard CD Audio files, being at 44.1 kHz and therefore not affected by the SACDs higher frequencies issue, are exactly the same as before.)

The scans/artwork are almost entirely new from last year as well, now based on digital .pdf downloads from BIS Records instead of a paper booklet laid on my scanner, so the vast majority of it looks considerably better now.

(The links are in the OP now. Im not doing links via PM anymore. That absolutely wore me out.)

Happy listening. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B6U4A_vYuii5SHRvVkhuNHlRbFk
