Hi! I had this for a very long time and noticed there were no scans of it here on the forum. I believe there is a FLAC version available already, however, I wanted to do John Williams justice by creating a perfect CD rip and including very high-quality scans. This set includes a cue file, an m3u file, a log, and scans which I personally created at 4800DPI. You can download the original scans (~10000px) or the small versions (~1500px). Also as a convenience I've included multiple formats for everyone, whether yor preference is lossless, mp3 or whatever suits your fancy!

That is good to know. I once had a talk with someone who claimed that OPUS was the way to go, for it was superior over AAC and MP3 in terms of quality and compression. I am not sure by what grounds that was based. I'll add OGG since you mentioned it!

It can be more efficient than AAC.
But I've seen it used mostly for streaming and chat recording.

Opus decoding on mobile is easy enough.
PC/mac have to look into codec/player compatibility options.

That's probably why then, since the talk was about having quality audio on a mobile device and which was the best for saving space while retaining the best quality. I mostly use AAC now for my portable player, it's nothing fancy so I don't see why I should carry a lossless library around. Sooo much space needed haha! And AAC sounds basically the same to me as lossless.

I like AAC for mobile too.
OGG occasionally. OGG for all my ringtones.
