I think that the FF12 game should have enough data to store two worlds, for example you could be on one world on one of the CD's then go to a rocket of some sort (like Cids FF7) and go onto a completely new world full of new things to do on the second CD... a good idea or not?

Thats actually not a bad idea, but maybe have something like a portal you go through or something.

**Final Fantasy 9 spoiler!!**

Final Fantasy 9 somewhat did this, but the other world was not very large and you didnt' really spend much time there.

Actully, that's been done many times before....excuss this info for anyone hasn't played the older games or doesn't want to know,
in FF2j you can teleport to a different land called Mysdia, in FF3j you travel between floating islands, in FF4 you go to the Moon, in FF5 you Trvel to another planet and then the planet you started on and the one you traveled to merge to form a new one, in FF6 the world is reshaped in a doomsday like insident, in FF8 you travel to the time-compressed world, and in FF9 you go to another world for a bit. So it really would be anything new, but the new world or worlds could be massive in size...which would be awsome. Sorry to bore you all with the FF talk....

Yeah, it would be a good idea. Star Ocean 2 would be boring if it was only 1 world.

And they should make it like 50-50. Half of the game on one side, Half on the game on the other. Of course there should be some ways to change between the two..... unless the story forbids it.

It would be cool and certainly gameplay extending. More interaction between 2 worlds, maybe even parrallel worlds and your team can skip from one dimension to another and see what changes if you change one thing in the other dimension... it could be a nice concept. :D

Final Fantasy XI takes place in the world of Vana'diel, where swords, sorcery, and technology coexist. More than 20 years ago, as the story goes, the people waged war against the forces of evil to protect the powers of the world's crystal. The land has remained peaceful until recently, as presence of evil has returned to the land of Vana'diel once again. The world, like in many PC online RPGs, will be persistent, meaning that hundreds of players will be able to interact with one another throughout all of the game's areas. But with different servers prepared for the game, more than one Vana'diel will exist, so players will actually exist in parallel versions of the same world. It is not yet known whether players will be assigned a server or be allowed to choose one. So, not only will there be *two* worlds in one....there could be dozens. Only problem is, they'll be the same world.

AND GET THIS(!): One last interesting bit is that the different servers the game will use will be named after the bosses in previous Final Fantasy games--Chaos (FFI), Xdeath (FFV), Golbez (FFIV), and Zande (FFIII). In the beginning of the game, players will be restricted to the server they start on. However, players will be allowed to travel between the servers later on in the game, though no specific information about this feature has been released.

It's gonna kick ass.

The more worlds to explore the better. 2 or more tends to make a game longer or more complex, which I like.
