Thanks again for the share. Why do they feel the need to embed images so big? Remove the embedded cover art from the files (uselessly huge for that "purpose") and the filesize of the M4A encode will go down to 104 MB.

Japanese iTunes only, as far as I know. I'm pretty sure iTunes embeds album art in it's songs, so that would be the reason for the high resolution.
I didn't want to mess with the files, other than the conversion to mp3, to keep them as close as possible to how I found them.

Awesome, thanks for the information, time for me to bug a girl for a favour. And yeah, iTunes does crap like that; sorry, didn't mean to come off as aggressive in my previous post, I would just like for them to embed a smaller+lighter version of the cover art in the files, it becomes especially annoying when there are so many tracks, filesize gets bloated.
