I liked Lost Prophets' earlier stuff, but then they became super comercialsed circa the release of "Last Train Home" and completely let themselves down :(

HAHA!
The first album they produced was good - very good in some cases. They were something a little original, and from WALES at that. I liked stuff like five is a four letter word, shinobi versus dragon ninja, kobrakai, etc. It was a great album, and a great starting album. I thought the vocals were a bit weak at times and they could do with a little more rocking.

Then they released hell is a biscuit or whatever their new album is called. The entire thing is CBBC rock, the sort of thing you'll hear advertising the latest show involving a boy and his marvellous 3D animated companion. It all sounds basically the same, and even the one redeemable track (We still kill the old way) lacks any of the quality of the fake sound of progress. They also appear to have murdered their DJ.

I also saw them live, and they were shit. They were supporting Metallica, and I would say they were the worst thing there, but luckily Slipknot were on next.

EDIT: I prefer Slipknot to Lostprophets. They just happened to play possibly the worst concert I've ever seen.

1. I couldn't give a SHIT whetrher its one word or not.
2. No they are not still as good as thier first days.
3. How would me meeting them change my mind?
4. Being commrcialised, isn't being famous as such, its giving your songs to the top40 charts, and have it being used in stupid childrens shit along with Busted and McFly.

First time I ever heard of them was with their current singles on the radio and such.

And really, I couldn't stand them.

Though, one day not too long ago, a buddy of mine played a cd of theirs while we were sitting in his van. Pretty sure it was their older one and I was pretty damn blown away. They have some amazing stuff that their singles don't even begin to shed light on.

Just in friendly opinion, I say: Lost Prophets (yeah, the words were designed to be separate) are SHIT. Still, guess we're all entitled to our own musical tastes.
Albeit many of those tastes are crap.

hey man i totally agree, they rocked when they started and now the only change is...that they just famous - right on man I would disagree with that. They do sound quite a bit different now but I wouldn't necessarily say it's any better or worse than before, nor would I say it's any more or any less mainstream than before, it's just different.

I just noticed that i messed up before, your right. Thank you for appreaciating their music and giving them your attention!! cos if all their albums sounded the same that would be boring and they would lose fans! Besides everyones talents in the band will improve over the years and so their sound will change into more complicated riffs and songs!! you should hear "To hell we ride" cos that song is just amazing, the guitar is soo fast!!
