By the way, you guys who are downloading this Bychkov/Berlin recording, after you've had a chance to hear it, I would be very interested for you to share your opinion of the two versions of Track 08, with/without the bass drum hit. I have uploaded a new rip of this album based on an original copy that I legitimately purchased (as opposed to somebody else's rip that I had previously leached/used) which now includes the previously missing Eugene Onegin excerpts and a fresh/complete set of artwork scans (albeit in a Decca incarnation instead of the original Philips release).

As far as I can tell, the audio of The Nutcracker is unchanged. There's nothing in the artwork to indicate they've done any re-mastering, and as far as my ears can tell, it all sounds exactly the same. (And the $@#&%^ bass drummer's mistake in Track 08 is still there. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42753709/Photobucket/mmph.gif ) Nevertheless, now having actual physical CDs in hand, it's undoubtedly better to play it safe, so I have re-ripped everything from scratch. (A pretty quick process, actually, with merely standard CD audio).

Received links for this and the Jarvi recordings, and successfully extracted -- many thanks! I actually really like Bychkov as a conductor so I may enjoy his work on this more than you. He did some great Shostakovich and also the best recording I've heard of Metamorphosen by Strauss.
