Have you personally heard it? If so, did you notice any of the "partial damage" like what the guys at La La land records have talked about? They say it plagues the only known sources which has prohibited them from releasing a Definitive Edition. I've always hoped that better sources would come along and if the sessions exist in Lossless as you say, maybe the score isn't lost to the ages after all.

Two cues actually:

"Back in the Bank" which wasn't included because (according to LLL) Goldenthal felt it was redundant.

"Door Knockdown" which wasn't included because....well no one knows why it wasn't included.

Is there a tracklist for this, anyone? Alien3 would be a sensation. The ISO rip doesn't really do it. Plus, there would be many alternates, I suppose, as Goldenthal had to rewrite the last part of the film, I recall from interviews. And I remember that the score was created as a synth demo first, and then the orchestra emulated the synthetic sounds. And all that in 1992. But these tracks I guess will never surface.

Honestly this for me is right next to the Elfman batman scores.

What works in the film doesn't always work outside of it. Die-hard film music enthusiasts like ourselves may scratch our heads, but many film composers are very concerned with how their work can live a strong life outside the confines of the picture. You might think it's presumptuous for a composer to think he knows what buyers want, but they just want people to enjoy the music as best they can (for better or for worse). Besides, programming a playlist with things in the "right" order isn't very complicated at all.

Little known fact about the album: the original album presentation was going to include two cues - Fun and Games (alternate excerpt) and Door Knockdown. I was surprised to find out to those two cues were not included when the album was finally released in January.
