Man I would have to say ff7 for a few reasons. It has my idol cloud and my fav ff girl tifa.

i have to say 9. storyline was great, ppl had jobs after two games with people lacking 'roles'.

FFIX and FFVI where my favorite, maybe it was the esper/magic system in FFVI and also the skill system for FFIX was good also, that what probally made the games most enjoyable for me, not to metion FFIX's story line.

hmm I would say X just cuz i have not finshed the others yet almost done 9,7 dont even want to finish 8

Final Fantasy 7, this question has been asked a lot hasnt it...?

FF8 is the best. FF10 sucked and so did FF9.FF7 and FF1 tie for second place.

VII, X-2, and IX are my faves. As for worst, VIII.

FFIX was the best but cloesly followed by FFX, I'm also in the beginning of FFX-2 and im enojing that game as well.

...but I gotta say, if they made a game that was like FF2 with characters from FF6 and the underworld from FF4, plus a couple of selected dialogues from FF3, Cloud's sword dual-wielded by every character, and random moogles and chocobos sprinkled around the place, MAN, that would be the BEST.

in terms of gameplay i would say ff2 and when it comes to story ff6 due to mnay of the sidequests and real life issues that it deals with a game with story like ff6 and ff2 battle system would be perfect.

But, SE (or what passed for SE in the glorious golden past) has done some dumb things before. Such as, well, the fate of Josef was a pretty damn dumb thing to do. (And not to mention every other character in FF2, they all got substituted by a stupid blue-haired dude whose name I can't remember - serves him right.) SO, that was dumb. Yeah. Very dumb. Square programmers were probably overrun by a horde of frothing chocobos when they were making FF2.

As I have faultlessly proved SE being dumb-able, there is indeed a chance that the aforesaid amalgam game can see daylight. WAHAHAHAHAHA! YAAAAAAY AND A HEARTY HUG FOR RANDOM MOOGLEBOS (moogle-chocobos)!!!!!!1111!!!!!111111

I thought it was pretty dumb to make a sequel to FFX, but that's just my opinion. Now that I've said that, I don't need rabid FFX fans telling me something I already admitted to.

Final Fantasy VII is my favourite. I liked the way the characters developed throughout the story, and I thought the story line was great.
