From the games, which was your most tear jerking moment from the storylines?
For me (and it's harder as i'm a guy! note: not being sexist!)
it was when Aeris was struck down and Cloud placed her in the water and she drifted down. I felt the two characters had bonded so well and I always had Cloud and Aeris together in my party, and when she got killed I was so upset! :-(

yeah i wanted Aeris to live aswell, but they were gonna change the game and let her live but they didnt go through with it

I cryed when Riona and Squall were on the ragnarok and they were cuddling and confessing love to one another, I dont know why but that one gets me.

Aeris's death got to me. As did Bahamut getting wounded by Alexander in FF9

yeah the ragnorak scene made me cry.

The ending of FFVIII.

FF viii - when Rinoa was in space and thinking about dying and you kept seeing little FMVs with her trying 2 breathe until she was gone *kinda lol)

There's a mistake with that though, cloud is standing up, then he drops Aeris and she falls for miles, makes no sense unless cloud has some 600 metre legs.

That's not a mistake, that's poetry. It just looks better this way. Just imagine, would it look better if he just threw her in the water from the side? And if she wouldn't fall down for miles, and she'd just stay where he dropped her? ;)

Well, but Aeris' death was also the saddest to me. It really made me cry, and I never thought a main character could actually die. :sad:

Sometimes I wish they didn't kill Aeris because her limits breaks were so good, but then it would just ruin the storyline.

Actually the death scene is ok until they turn the camera up, so you see Aeris falling down. Up untill that point you can see that Cloud is standing on the edge of a rock.

I think the saddest thing from a FF game is when you think Zidane is dead at the very end, I was really depressed until about 15 minutes later and he was still alive. =)

Edna: Besides the mentioned ones. I'm gonna have to say that Julia Caraway's story is very, very tragic and sad.

Not a mistake. There was a patch of land, and then a big drop in the water. Cloud stood on that little patch of land.

Probably Aeris' death, or Tidus finding out Yuna would die if her pilgrimage were successful. And can't forget Squall reluctantly handing Rinoa over to the Esthar soldiers.

I can't decide which was the biggest tearjerker moment for me. It is eitger Aeris' death (FFVII), the ragnarok scene (FFVIII), when Tidus fades (FFX), the lake scene (FFX) or the 1,000 words scene when you see Lenne and Shuyin die (FFX-2).

When Cloud placed Aeris the water. That was really sad.... And when Yuna is on the top of the Celsius singing 1000 Words and they show Lenne and Shuyin getting shot.... in FFVI if you screw up and Cid dies and Celes tries to kill herself, that part's probably the saddest in the series. Also, after I beat FFI with all thieves, I was rewarded with the worst ending ever, so I almost cried then.

The Iifa Tree scene towards the end of FFIX...poor widdle Kuja *cries*

Most tear jerking well the Aeris thing didnt faze me at all, but knowing Yuna had to die it kinda sucks i guess FFX wins this one

In FFVII when Aeris died......and I actually cried during the FFX ending. I stoped playing it for a while, and then I forgot the storyline, *spoiler warning* and then when you're done killing Yu Yevon, and then Auron gets sent, and then Tidus goes back with Jecht, that made me cry (lol, I dind't see any one else say that, so now I feel like a freak.)

Well, I was only about 9 when I started my first real RPG video game, Final Fantasy VII. I really got into it and knew that I was really going to get into it. When Aeris' death came, I was bewildered. I thought it was kinda corny cuz there wasn't any blood, but it was still sad. I told my mom about it and she said that I might be to young for that game :-P but I kept playing. So Aeris' death was a real sad thing :'(

I only beat Final Fantasy VIII a little while ago. First of all, I only had Disc 1 cuz my bro hated FF8 and gave it away. I bought again a few months ago. I got to the first Raijin/Fuijin right and restarted.Then I got to the Ragnorok scene and knew it was a moment I would remember 4ever. I got past there and got to Adel and started over. So it took me a while to beat it. When I came to Ultimecia, I couldn't even defeat Griever. But then I realized that I had my strongest person set up as my weakest :-P and then fixed everything. It took me an hour to beat the last bosses. But then when I saw the ending I was amazed. My fav part was when she completely collapsed on Squall in the time dimesion thing. I wish they would have zoomed in on their kiss.

Just last night, for fun I beat the last boss on Final Fantasy X. O M G!!!! I was laying on my side and just watching them my heart swelled up and I had to sit up so I could breathe. It was then that I noticed behind all the violence and cruelty of Final Fantasy stories, they really focus on romance, which is my fav genre of everything.

so there have been lots of tear-jerking moments, even though I havne't cried at any yet. I don't cry much, but I think that it Square keeps evolving in the love stories like they have I might melt :-P

The whole of FFVIII made me cry, on the fact that I actually spent money on it.

The Ragnorak scene out of Final Fantasy VIII was probably my most tear jerking moment. Second would have to be the death of Aeries, and right after that when Cloud placed Aeries in the water.

aeris I think can be brought back not certain though people are talking about it at some online chatboards and such but anyways if you like aeris that much buy a gameshark or something and you can get her back and kickin but anyways she is alot of help so I know why you put her in your party alot well anyways the scene with the first cait sith dying I thought that was pretty sad I guess

There are three things that made me cry in final fantasy, I give square credit for that. ;) Aeris' death, Cloud's downfall, and in final fantasy IX, when Zidane decides to go after Kuja in the Iifa tree at the end, and Garnet leaves him with the rest of the party, and she looks down at him... :(

I cried from laughter in FFV when Bartz says, "We're never going to find a way out of here." And then Reina says, "There HAS to be a way!" And Galuf says, "She's right, let's go!" FFV was still a great game, but it had a few cheesy plot developments.

Galuf's death, Final Fantasy V ending. Much more of tear-jerker in my opinion than the Aeris scene and Galuf was a way cooler character.

FFVIII's ending --- the part where Laguna visits the graveyard.

A lot of FFIX's ending.

I have never cried watching any scenes from any of the Final Fantasy games.

The scene where aeris dies gets me all the time coz i had a really good friend who was killed right infront of me, it reminds me of that time all the time :(
