Hey everyone, I am new to the FF series. So far, I have FF7, FF10 and FFT. I was just wondering which FF game should I get next to continue my collection?

7 and 10. are the best so uv all ready played the amazing 1s. ff8 is excellent. but aviod ff9. definetly play 5 and 6. avoid ffcc with ur life.

Yes, I actually rented FFCC and personally, it was the worst game ive ever played.

yep it was the only ff ive ever not liked. every ff has made me laugh/cry/feel happy/sad that game just made me feel like i wasted a load of money

Yeah, I could never get in the story. I played the game for 10 minutes, then shut it off. About 5 hours later, I would give it another go to see if it would get any better. The longest run I had with FFCC was around 20 minutes the first time I ever played it. Truly borring and no replay value.

Replace VII with VIII, and get I, II, IV, V, VI, and IX, I would be happy with setup if I were you(You probably canm't get access to III yet).

chorns: Yeah, im not that big of a fan of FF7. It was the first FF game I had, but after playing X, a demo of VIII and playing a rom of I and V, I really appreciated those games more than FFII. I cant really understand why so many people loved the game, as the story line was so basic. The game was just not as fun as the other games I have played (so far) and it really gets boring after a while. Ive had the game for around 1 year 1/2 and im only at the cave of gi on the first disc, simply because I havent had the heart to play it, but lately, ive been forcing myself to play it because other ppl have been telling me its the greatest game ever, but the comment on your order of games I should play, its a pretty good idea!

I say get an NES emulator and get FFI for it. I think every FF fan should play the original at at least some point. Not origins or DOS, I mean the old version where you have to press A 297 times to buy the necessary number of healing items.

Get emulators and get 1-6 for them (the 2 an 3 for SNES are actually 4 and 6 the real 2 and 3 are for NES) and also get 8 it has one of the best stories in the series.

you can't find a bigger fan for final fantasy games more than me and what i say is truth.:) as omega weopon said, 9 is the best. quote the raven "never more".

Still get 8 though its a great story and game.

It all comes down to taste personally I would advise you to avoid FF8 like the plague, the only interesting bits are the FMVs. get Origins, Anthology, FF6 and FF9 and you will be fine

Heya Ifrit, maybe you should get FF-VIII and FF-IX first. But you should also get the older ones (FF-V + FF-VI). :)

Whatever you do is up to you but i urge you to stay away from FFX-2 and FF Mystic Quest

In my opinion FFVII is the best game out of the Final Fantasy series, but seeing as you already have that one I suggest that you get FFVIII or FFIX next.

in my opinion try out 4, 5, 6, and 8 next but not in that order.

This storyline formula is what games like FFVII try (and fail) to emulate - none are as close to excelence as VI is. Pick up IV, VIII, and IX while you're at it, though.

I personally enjoyed II, but not everyone does. I wouldn't recommend it being your "omg gotta buy dis now!!" game, though.

That is weird, oh well. When 3 comes out, you should play it cause it is one hell of a ride(not quite as fun as VI , but it is close).

FF8 Is Great. Also Play X-2, Despite The Fact it Does have a Large Hate-Base. It Is Actually A Good Game. Ive Never Played IX, But It Would be Good too.
