As I didn't find any threads about it (and I looked twice!), any chance of enlightment about FF X and FF X-2 remaster? Is it worth buying? Heard about some lip synching problems and that the HD isn't consistent.

and so the loading times, they suck!! I guess the only highlight is that they re-recorded some music and that you can have the 2 games plus some extras in one disc.

The PC/Steam version is just a port of the discs, no?

Loading should be better if SSD's are used.

Don't know about that, I'm not a PC gamer...

Useless purchase, if you have already played the original version (unless you really, really like the game, or you're one of those "I must have its trophies/achievements!"-gamers…), still, Ⅹ-2 is a far better RPG than Ⅹ, all things considered. Not-stuck-on-rails from beginning to end, some nice subquests/mini-games, quite the amount of replay value thanks to stuff like that and the multiple endings.

Also, faces have been screwed up a lot in those HD Remasters, too (heck, Tidus seemed far more expressive in the PS2 version of Ⅹ).

The weird faces were a total turnoff after playing the originals. Characters had dead eyes. The new music wasn't any improvement either I felt. I also agree with Leon Scott Kennedy that X-2 is the better game. The battle mechanics are really fresh for the time.

I listened to some of the tunes here and there and given the limited edition of the game came with the OST in a BD, with many people complaining about both release form and quality of the arrangements, maybe I should take the dust off of my old PS2 copy instead. Secondly (as I'm a bit of a trophy whore myself XD), I found the trophy collection so inappropriate! I mean, are you really going for this again just because of a bunch of Dark Aeons and the excruciating long Penance battle?
Not in the mood...

The PC version is better, yes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found the 'remastered' faces as not an improvement. I watched vids online comparing the original and the remaster, and the FMVs didn't seem that much different to me, but the new faces were a total fail IMO. Glad I can find stuff like that out before I waste my money.

Better than a lot of people give it credit for.

Care to explain or enlighten us then? I won't say you're totally wrong on that. I'm having second thoughts about the PS4 improved / corrected / ultimate version, though I still think some graphical updates are "too much" and the redone OST is hard to stomach here and there.

Err… Don't quote me on this, but last I read the OST to X-2 hasn't been touched at all, the one in the Remaster is still the original. Meanwhile, Ⅹ HD on PS4 should allow to choose the original OST, if you want that. This is what I remember reading on gaming news websites, at least.

That's correct: FF X-2 OST's untouched and FF X has two possibilities of listening, though I find the original PS2 OST much more pleasing.

If you liked the original X-2, the remaster will be fine, it has more dresspheres and other goodies. If you liked X, the remaster is horrible.

Decided to give the Creature Creator a try, I had only been playing the actual game up until halfway through Chapter 5, and the fiend tales are great. Of course I really don't consider it part of the actual game, which I still don't like, but it's fun.
