Seriously - is the fat cook (can't remember his name right now) really nessacary for the team? I never use him.
First thing: He is ugly. Really, I don't mind ugly people, but come the fuck on! He is also
Second: Fuggin incredibly mind-numbingly stupid. I have found nothing touching with the story of this guy. Or do I just remember wrong..? I actually cried when I thought he had died in the big... tree... with the wirlwind around it... (dammit, it's been a long time since I played). But that was before I found that I hated him.

So please, if you have anything positive to say about fatty, post it here.

I hate Quina. Any scene with him/her pisses me off. I really hated how it didn't have a gender. I think it's only purpose is to accidentally find fossil roo.

Yeah, that gender thing pisses me off too! I mean come on, what twisted freak designed him anyway? Why the hell couldn't they have Zedane find fuggin Fossil Roo?

There wasn't an attatchment of Quina to the story, unless you want to find out more of Vivi's past. He's optional, so does it really matter? If you hate Quina so much, then don't get her/him. ;) It is pretty useful wen you go to Gisomoluke's Grotto, though, and Cleyra, etc. That way you have another party member and have it easier in battles. :)

Okay, that's a positive thing. Excactly what I'm looking for. So he actually plays a part in the story, though it's not something he himself takes part in. Okay I'm confusing myself now... More commentaries please!

The whole gender thing is annoying but I see Quina as female. Pink clothing, flowery eyes, and the beginning of her name is the same as Queen.

Aah, so that's it, huh? I guess you're right... but I've always seen Quina as a guy. Maybe because I named him/her Stian. Don't ask.
Still, maybe he's male, but he's just gay? Maybe his first name is Drag? I mean, no previous FF game has ever taken gay people into consideration (wich I am glad for, actually).

The frog drop is cool and the purpose for it to tag along is so it tastes better food and learns to cook

Quina was an alright character. I agree, he didn't really have a huge role in the story, or had a good storyline himself. He was just basically an extra character to use who wanted to travel the world and look for different food other than frogs. He did have a few funny moments though, sort of playing as a comic-relief character to help relieve some of the tension of the main story, even though it wasn't that intense.

In battle, he's a strange character. Some of his Blue Magic is pretty useful, like Mighty Guard. And his Frog Drop can do 9999 regardless of whatever when properly built up. And his physical attacks can sometimes deal as much as Freya. So he's like a weird character in battle.

I don't use him that much. His battle skills are too random for my liking, and I'd rather have a solid attacker, offensive mage, and supportive mage as opposed to a variable one of all three. Plus I don't like his character all that much.

I think he's a pretty good character. He could have used a more detailed story though, but he's not that bad.

I had no problems with getting the blue magics. And I really like them. Quina is ok, too. I like having him in my team once a while. ;)

Damn you. You alawys say what I want to post. Nah I think your cool but Mighty guard is good. Also having shim help when you fight Lich because he will attack shim most of the time.

Her blue magic isn't too hard to get, but it's pretty annoying when you keep accidentally killing the monster before it's weak enough for Quina to eat. :mad:

You guys are kidding right? Quina is one of my favourite characters. When I had to go to that temple he/she was most useful. White Wind was the best at healing while Zidane kicked supreme arse!

I'm a Blue Mage at heart and I love Quina's Blue Magic, particularly Level 5 Doom. Seriously, that's one of hte best abilities to have if you want to do some good leveling up. It also works on pretty much every enemy in Kuja's Castle.

Character-wise I liked Quina too. It was interesting --- at a certain point Quina was optional and then eventually you had to get it in your party.


P.S.: Everybody here is saying Quina was optional, but that's only sort of true. You do eventually have to have him/her.
