Note: These songs will not play correctly in iTunes but you can try upsampling them yourself if you wish to do so. Thanks to MurraySkull for providing the files!

I found out last night that they added new music to the game when they added the Den of Trials, including a arrange of the Zelda 2 Dark Link theme! I was hoping to find out how to get 3DS update data so I could get the files myself but MurraySkull posted the files instead so it's alright.

Very cool, man. Appreciated.

Now if only someone could put all the tracks for this game together in an album format... and mixing the multi-track songs together...

I thought Vector Harbor did a rip like that. If they didn't, let me know and I'll put one together over my spring break.

Yes but they want a tag version and i don't do this...

He sort of did...

But he has two different threads and two different sets of the songs.
I THINK between his two sets and yours that it covers all of the music in the game (apart from the sequenced tracks with the ball-game), but I'm not sure as I haven't finished the game.
Anyway, his tracks have no track number ordering or any kind of metadata tags, they're just the raw filenames.
And it has the audio tracks separate, rather than mixed together (like the chorus tracks that overlap when you are on the top of a totem, or the different menu progression, or the lady singing in the costume shop, etc etc).

Oh, so the choir tracks also play by themselves in the game? Jesus Christ, I thought Mario Kart 8 was a nightmare with the amount of variants it had.

That's an extremely large amount of songs that I'd have to render out so I'm gonna have to think about it.

EDIT: if you could tell me what variants exist in the game (like do the choir tracks play alongside other choir tracks, etc.), that would be a big help

I haven't played the game too much, so I'm not entirely sure.

But...
I know each area has the basic theme, the male choir theme, the female choir theme, and the drums variant.
If I remember correctly, the male theme plays when you are on the top of a totem of a total of two players, and the female when you are on the top of a totem of three players. (pretty sure male and female variants never play together... could be wrong)
I can't recall if the basic theme is simply very faint during this time or completely gone.
And then the drum variant plays on top of basic theme during.... something... not sure when. The end of a stage, maybe?

The castle variant tracks are pretty much like the menus in Mario Kart, if I remember correctly.

Now that I think about it, Vector Harbor's version was still missing a lot of the 8-bit songs.
When you play via download play, any game running that does not have a game cart plays ALL of the music as an 8-bit version. It's a very neat touch, to be honest.

I'll do some research myself but thank you! The chiptune music is (mostly) sequenced and the tools to extract sequenced data aren't perfect yet.

The chiptune stuff is sequenced??? That sucks.
I had no idea it was, it just seems like normal music tracks for the stages, menus, etc.

Both the chiptune stuff and the ball songs are all sequenced so they can fit into a Download Play package. From what I remember, the tools we have can rip some of the sequenced songs but it doesn't rip them all for whatever reason. I'm hoping that 3DS emulator makes some progress so we can use it to playback the music, with all effects attached.

EDIT: I've gone ahead and used the game to create these 5 versions of the Deku Forest track. I'm not sure if there is a separate variant for the 2 Totem, Top Position and 3 Totem, Top Position so there's only one. My mastering also may not be perfect but it's pretty damn close, if i'd say so myself. (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4ujiTGzARkdVWRFRU1WNXFFYkE/view?usp=sharing)
