I generally don't want to skip the scenes, but it seems that my disk has got scratched right in the middle of the Aeris' date with cloud.

As the fireworks go overhead (second little scene I think) my game dies a nasty and horrible death.

If anyone knows how to skip it, it'd be really appreciated :)

Cheers

A new copy isn't that expensive and copies of FFVII are relatively easy to find, I see them all the time in stores.

I thought that might have been the case, bugger :P

you guys are right though, I think I will either look for one of those disk cleaning kits or get a new copy, not sure if there are many places around here that sell it though :(

I'm definatly going to have to stop playing this scene over and over again to try and get past that little bit, I think I'm getting RSI in my right thumb from pressing circle over and over and over and over again :P

Do not date Aeris...wait you would need to start a new game for that.

I think it does the same scene no matter what you do doesn't it? I think Tifa goes "Oh,its so pretty" aswell and then it cuts to the fireworks overhead.

Mind you, I've never tried getting the date with Barret, which to be honest, is kinda a nasty idea...

What is happening with the game at the moment though is that it goes to the fireworks, the screen semi freezes for a split second, then you see back inside of the gondola and Aeris is talking about Zack. The thing is, the windows are all black and after she finishes talking, they just sit there looking at each other and blinking....

i have some advise. my friend let me borrow his game a while ago. but it was scratched BADLY. and all i did was just switch to another disk like 2 or 3 and after that part is over just swithch it back. trust me itll work. ive done it hundreds of times before i got my own copy. and ull still be able to watch the scene.

Do I do it while she is still talking to Cloud in the gondola? I know exactly when it happens, she goes "It so pretty" and cloud looks out of the window with her where the fireworks explode above the carriage.

Or should I do it before they get onto the gondola?

Cheers for the advice though Blitzking99

Sorry to double post, but just wanted to say thanks again, I whacked in Disk 2 during the Aeris scene and it worked fine (although instead of seeing the intended clips I say bungens lab and weapon being destroyed by junon's cannon hehe :P ), but its all working peachy now, already done most of disk 2 :)

0_0 damn you're lucky... I haven't seen a copy since I got mine in 1998...

www.amazon.com

Search for "Final Fantasy 7" and you'll see it come up as something like 28.99 (dunno what it is in $) and then if you click on 'Old&New' you can get them for about half the price :)

I know this becuase I ordered a new copy before I found out I could skip that scene hehe :P

Well that'll make 1 working disk 1
1 semi-working disk 1
3x disk 2
3x disk 3

heh :P
