I can't stop this feeling
Deep inside on me
Girl, you just don't realize
What you do to me

When you hold me
In your arms so tight
You let me know
Everything's all right

I'm hooked on a feeling
I'm high on believing
That you're in love with me

Lips as sweet as candy
It's taste is on my mind
Girl, you got me thirsty
For another cup o' wine

Got a bug from you girl
But I don't need no cure
I'll just stay a victim
If I can for sure

All the good love
When we're all alone
Keep it up girl
Yeah, you turn me on

I'm hooked on a feeling
I'm high on believing
That you're in love with me

All the good love
When we're all alone
Keep it up girl
Yeah, you turn me on

I'm hooked on a feeling
I'm high on believing
That you're in love with me

I'm hooked on a feeling
And I'm high on believing
That you're in love with me

I said I'm hooked on a feeling
And I'm high on believing
That you're in love with me
I'm hooked on a feeling

Haha, that OST was an Eye Opener for a lot of People i guess, lots of brilliant Muzac on there.

Of course anything which contains Pina Colada gets my Vote

Any similarity between current Shrine Events and Music Titles is purely coincidental of course.

Basically For Things to As there Were Where Our Gang sat up and had real long and in depth talks about the music we love, which has sadly stoppee because of the latest mess at GD.

So basically just to carry on as before but here... if you want.

Add to the "like list" GoTG, - that score surprised me in how memorable it is - and once the demos were released Jackman's CA:TWS. The commercial release was a dog's breakfast.

Just started JJ yesterday and I can't say I'm all the impressed by the score (three episodes in and the show itself is already a bit of a bore). A few nods to clich city detective jazz, but for the most part it's the usual droning ambient bullshit. There's no driving menace, intrigue or sex-appeal.

Old GD and new GD are literally the two most polar opposite forum cultures I have ever encountered in the same place in my life. It's been absolutely bewildering to me ever since you lot took over, and my actions there over the past year or so have been this sort of perpetual reaction test to see can they really be this different? I keep thinking someone is going to bite, sooner or later, but it never happens. I can't figure out what makes you guys tick. It keeps drawing me back in. Not in a pleasant way. It's like that snuff film you can't take your eyes off of even though you want to barf.

Enjoy!

IMO:

Dino: good, but not Pixar's best.
Mass: parts are very good, but it's episodic in nature and never comes together.
Mockingjay: the final conflict disappoints.

Yayyyyy Mr Gold!! I told you Catching Fire was the best. The Blu-ray has the IMAX scenes included (which is basically the last 2/3 of the film, first hour is standard widescreen) and it's awesome. I still enjoy the series as a whole, but CF is the stand-out.

I liked the maturity of THG: the costs of war, mental and physical, the bareknuckles politics cloaked in velvet clothes and words, and the use of propaganda by both sides.

My one dislike was the weak conclusion to the war. You need more than the angry peasants at the castle gates with pitchforks and torches, you need to see them storming and taking the castle.

Solid Snake is based off of Snake Plissken.

Snake is the classic ronin/samurai character, right down to the eyepatch. Yagyū Jūbei Mitsubishi is one of Japan's most famous samurais and wore an eyepatch. (Although whether that aspect of his character is historically accurate is debatable.) But that's the image that has become fixed in the public's mind.

i see crap versions of Star Wars Episode 7 going up.
Garbage encode settings. Great for previewing or if you're impatient. But not for archiving.
Lossy audio only so far (being "1080p" has nothing to do with audio quality; same audio can be used on "720p" -- video and audio are different), so anyone see a post going up for the end credits, it's just the lossy audio source only.
Also, no IMAX aspect ratios in this.
Probably the 3D set will have it, or we'll have to wait for another re-release, ala "Star Trek: The Compendium" duology set for Into Darkness with IMAX AR.

Walkmans? MiniDisc Players?

Before the iPod, there was the Sony Walkman. The iPod of the 90's.

:this:

Sony also had their proprietary codec for extreme lossy compression. More compression over Mp3, but you could actually hear the loss on it for film scores.

eMule, limewire, kazaa, ares galaxy, WINMX, frostwire.
Never used morpheus or never knew about soulseek back then.

I did everything I could to get a soundtrack.

for torrent trackers: Demonoid was pretty much the only place that had soundtacks.
TPB and other public trackers were too risky and spammy (and still are).
Never knew about RUtracker back then.

Forums were only recent to me: Tehparadox, a couple others, here.

Now it's just here and a couple private trackers.

NewsFeed services are too much to pay for when i've already got a couple seedboxes.

Thematically, it's a amalgamation of several styles, Slow Atmospheric Tracks, Beautiful Piano Pieces (those are my Favourites), a couple upbeat
Tunes, and a really nice Song with Vocals by Raleigh Holmes, Goosebumps. ^^ I like this OST very much, sadly there are no Samples on YT
except that Vocal Song : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qO4FExFrQ0E , if you wanna give it a listen you can grab it from Jessie here (Thread 188096).

I'm sorry to say this, in light of recent words I've written to Gold, but technically speaking this thread should be merged with the "What are you listening/watching" one located in GD, then, the whole package should be moved here. At present we have two threads serving the same purpose, we mostly allow double (or thriple) threads in Download Links because they either provide working links, or different encodes, the rest should end up merged.
Also, can't help but chuckle at the whole "this one is where it should be" crap, you've never seemed bothered by the fact the other one is in GD, folks.

"Taking Stalingrad" - Michael Giacchino - Call of Duty Official Soundtrack.

Haunting, threatening, sort of abrasive, is how I would describe this track.

It gives you an idea of the fear in the battle of Stalingrad, which took place August 23rd, 1942 - February 2nd, 1943.

If he hadn't tried to close so many threads based on personal laugh-o-meter, mixed with assholes showing up just to bitch for the sake copy/pasting their previous bitch statements, we wouldn't feel like we have no place to be.

We weren't ever bothered about GD until SOMEONE said "technically we don't allow chat in GD" or some shit.

Feels like working for a place that just got new management and the new boss has no idea what's going on so just makes up rules from his old job which don't apply to new employees when the company got a merger and acquisition. or something from a tv show.

In total agreement. The man's music is fantastic! I love his synth's in The Dark Knight Returns and his use of an orchestra for Superman. My favorite track is probably "Harvey": it screams Brad Fiedel's The Terminator. Another favorite score: Under the Red Hood.

Someone needs to give Drake a motion picture to score.

First, I wouldn't call DePalma or Stone artists, at least in regards to Scarface. Both failed in this the movie. Stone failed because he didn't create interesting characters: everyone is venal, corrupt, brutal with no shading in their portrayals of their characters. They are all made of cardboard and cardboard doesn't bleed.

Does make for good targets for bullets which everyone eventually becomes.

And I've generally found DePalma over rated as a director and he created a movie with zero nuance and fewer human beings.

So, for me, it failed my storytelling guidelines. But that's me. You like it and that's all that matters to you.

That's how it goes with movies, books, music, etc . . .
