The PM for the link is to keep the link active so it's not deleted in my case, it's worked fine for me for years and all of my links are still active. As to reputation I could care less I don't pander for that sort of attention but it's nice to know that it's appreciated. Sending a PM is in my humble opinion not "jumping through hoops" but to each his own. I do agree with you on the malware site ad link thing that's unacceptable. That's the true definition of jumping through hoops in this scenario.

Posting links openly is and has been clearly illustrated to be detrimental i.e. Varese Sarabande's recent ban, I have no doubt Intrada will follow suit soon as well.

That being said I've posted rep for KevinG and I appreciate his work here as well.
