I thought I’d share my remastered version of the Twilight Princess gamerip here since the HD version will soon be released. I always thought the original gamerip had a rather low amplitude, which was especially evident on the boss battle tracks. So I started amplifying those tracks, then I fooled around with totally remastering and re-editing those tracks so they would sound more like how I prefered them. I got such a good result (IMO) that I started remastering the entire score for Twilight princess, because there were quite a few little problems with the rip.

So now, what we have here is the Gamecube/Wii version of the entire Twilight Princess score remastered, with new tracknames (which better explain what they were used for in the game IMO) for most tracks and a lot of tracks were totally re-edited. A lot of the cutscenes were split, because some where too long and cobbled up together in one big track (like the ending and some of the really long cutscenes). Plus some of the battle tracks I made a bit longer, a lot of them had parts of the songs that weren’t looped, so I added an extra loop here and there. Plus I made many other little changes, usually just to restore those tracks and make them sound better.

I hope you guys enjoy the result, if not, then just hope we’ll be getting a remastered Twilight Princess HD Wii U gamerip in the near future. I’m still not sure if the HD version of the game will have a slightly beefed- up score, like Wind Waker HD, but we’ll see.

I defintely did. I'm quite the perfectionist, so I've spent a long, loooooong time on this. I'm sure not everybody will like it, since I probably took some liberties with these tracks which in the eyes of certain purists are not ok, but to them I say...don't download it! ;)

It was truly a labor of love though, this by far my most favorite Zelda soundtrack!!

Same here, the end credit tracks are some of the most emotional pieces of music I've ever heard. I've taken a listen and it all does sound a bit more 'clean'; in some cases it digs up some sound problems with the music, but ultimately it sounds a little more 'real'.

I don't think you can technically call them MIDI (well, the sequenced files maybe), but yes..these were the original synth/extracted gamemusic files. This was mostly done with the full gamerip that was released a while ago, I believe Prime Blue did that rip. And if I remember correctly it was quite a painstaking process to rip and edit all the sequenced tracks. I remember that for a long time lots of tracks were deemed unrippable. All the the cutscenes were streamed though, but most of the in-game music was sequenced.

A bit late, but..yeah..some tracks had extremely low volume. For me it was especially bothersome on the boss battle themes, I need to have those pumpin' loud out of my headphones :p

The End Credits music is gorgeous indeed.....well, actually all the main themes are (Midna's theme, Ilia's theme, the main theme (Hyrule Field) etc).
