Hmm it's annoying how NONE of the Outrun OSTs sound the same...
I have many versions already...

OutRun (Sega Saturn - same sound as the arcade one)
etc.

WHICH one sounds the closest to the TRUE original one? lol
I notice that in your version, "Magical Sound Shower" seems to have additional drum sounds.
Besides that, it has nothing special...

My favorite is still the Sega Saturn one.

My favourite is the Yu Suzuki Produce version. The 20th Anniversary is compressed to make it louder. The original arcade version had a bug in the EEPROM which makes some of the instruments sound wrong (including the versions available on this thread), references:

The SST Band CD version has the bug, can't remember if the Saturn version has it. The Yu Suzuki and 20th Anniversary versions do not have the bug.

This is why they sound different :-)

EDIT: Just checked the Saturn version and it is correct.

My absolute favourite is the Sega Saturn version, with amazing arrange of MAGICAL SOUND SHOWER. It is the best Sega-related track ever, and according to the 20th Anniversary Box booklet, composer's favorite iteration as well. :>
