Yay! Sorry I let you down, guys and gals. I'm sure JediJon did a better job than I possibly could've with my schedule and whatnot. I couldn't find a good sound for my version. Desplat is not a new composer to me but his music proves very challenging in some cases to edit because of the vast dynamic range of his recording. Finding a good balance in mixing the cues between the light versus the more bombastic cues was also a bit challenging for me. Raising the volume on the lighter cues would reveal more hiss. In not wanting to further damage the sound which already suffers from a low bitrate (it was an MP3 to MP3 transcode IIRC), I didn't want to remove the hiss.

I also didn't have a copy of the movie handy so I had to guess as to what version of what cue to use for the cues which had multiple takes and I usually selected what sounded best to me. In trying to maintain a film version deluxe edition, I didn't want to half-ass it and not having the time to properly "master" it, I gave up.

What a year 2015 was, eh? Where did it go? Hopefully not back around this way. Haha.

Thanks, JediJon.

Most of the cues in the sessions are actually the film mixes, including remixed stems from cues in HP7 (Voldy At Malfoy Manor, Voldy Breaks The Shield, Harry And Voldy Suffer, Snape's Demise and Voldemort Speaks). And Peter Cobbin's mix and recording is dreadful, even worst on the sessions. So don't worry about it. About the different takes, 1m8-9 R1 Tk.100 is the intro of Underworld as you can hear it on the film. Tk.15 is the film version without the edits. The two versions of 5m33 Clearing are needed since one has the alternate ending used for the film, and the other one the first minute which is missing.

Actually, to be honest there wasn't too much work needed. A lot of the cues are as they are in the movie and standalone pretty well. Most of the work went into the battle cues ("The Battlefield" and "The Final Showdown") and I also transitioned "Severus and Lily" straight into "Dumbledore's Farewell" to make "The Prince's Tale". There are other little things here and there, including a film version of "The Diadem", but this was actually a lot less work than a lot of the other edits that I've done for Star Wars and even Harry Potter.

Great once again! Waiting for the other scores, and still hoping you will do "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire". I can provide the sessions in case you don't have them.
